AIEEE (I SCORED 48 ) I am very much attracted to do engineering. As my elder brother is also an engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Fine experience. Good laboratory and environment. The course streams are available in five streams. I choose mechanical engineering. The course is scheduled in eight semesters four year program.

Internships Opportunities

In my college not any company come. I do apprenticeship training in NHPC salaal hydro electric power project jyotipurram. (they don't give any stipend. They demolish the stipend process last year).

Placement Experience

2.5

I got placement in oil filter for vehicles company. But there are not much opportunities available in our college campus. They don't even conduct any interview.

College Events

3.5

Technical- techfest organized in 2011. I was the one of the host of techfest. Attended techfest in nit jalandhar also. Cultural- every year in April month our college organizes a annual cultural programme.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for engineering is very expensive. Not affordable for the student belongs to middle class family like me.They took rs. 52,000 at the time of admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I don't know about any scholarships in my college. I think they Don't give any scholarships or they don't advertise any scholarships.

Campus Life

4

The extra curricular activities are good because organising of that activities are mostly depends on students. We organize fresher party Every year in hostel and college also.

Alumni/Alumna

No there is no alumni conduct in our college. The passout seniors are very humble. They come in year once in year. And the senior in course are also very humble. They guide us always.

Exam Structure

In engineering there is a lot exam. I think engineering college must focus on practical more than theory exams. Exams structure is a little tough than regular exam.

Faculty

4

Very good faculty except two assistant professor. The workshop faculty is very experienced they treat every student in good gesture. The faculty in laboratory have good knowledge of machines. And they conduct proper experiment.

Placement Experience:

I exactly don't know but after 4 th or 5 th students are eligible for internship and placements. Generally in 7th semester 90 percent students grab their internship. Many companies visit on campus placement like Capgemini, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Microsoft and many more. Highest package offered is 64 LPA by Microsoft and lowest was 4 LPA. Almost 90 percent students get placed by 8th semister. I also want to go to a MAANG company after getting my degree.

The placement opportunities provided are moderate in compariosan to other colleges and they are failry good in comaprison to the private unis. Most of the students based on their academics and skills become eligible for placements in their 5th semester. Both MNCs and startups visit the college and the average package ranges form 8-10 lpa and highest package can touch crores. The percentage of student getting placed is aslo good though i dont lnow the exact statistics. My plan is to go for placements during and after my degree.

Placement Experience:

In Chandigarh University you are being elligible to sit in the placement from the end of the 6th semester . A large no. of companies visit the unversity daily for all type of departments talking about my department , companies like Zopasmart , JTG , EY , JP Morgan , TCS , Cognizant , Deloite and many other companies came for the college comapnies with ann average comapny selected upto 10 -12 students . Till now the highest package offered is 37 LPA for the role of software developer . Talking about the no. of students placed from the total students in the batch i would say less then 30% percent of the total students have been placed from the university campus placements till now . Curently i am also focusing on the campus placements to get a start to know more about the corporate world , If i am unable to get a campus placement the i ll go for offline interviews and spends 4 to 5 years in the field after that i ll start my own buisness .
