Remarks

The reputation and history of the university was one of the primary reasons for the selection of the university and it was one of the best colleges to graduate from at a close proximity to where I live.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was a little old fashioned even though there were possibilities of modern approaches by using digital means instead of actual sheets for learning as the new age is dependent on digital platform

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 307000 per year

Placement Experience

There’s no placement as such done my the university. The selection for jobs is done based on the portfolio that consists of our work during the college work that is being submitted to the firms and some include a test I order to evaluate our ability before accepting us during the interview

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the whole university was beautiful. But the individual college block was one of the oldest structures and shared with other departments. Did expect a newer block designed as an architectural college atleast with the learning environment in such a manner for the tuition fees that was being paid

Course Curriculum Overview:

You'll indulge in a lot of painting and are related stuff. Well since Architecture is not only about art, there are subjects which will use up your brain cells. You also get to go to study trips too! The ride is not smooth- everyday would be a submission day , everyday would be a love-hate relationship with the course. Internal reviews,external reviews, viva and jury, presentation and assignments, written exams...theyre enough to keep you busy throughout. Since its Affiliated to vtu, the system does seem not so updated to date. You cannot expect to have a month of holidays after each Semester too. Dont dream of having a pleasant vacation break.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more condensed that other colleges', so it makes it easier to tackle multiple things at once. The course prepares us for real world applications through their dual internship program, which is a strong point in their curriculum. If the course in itself had more real world applications, instead of very superficial ideas, it would be more helpful The exams are a hurdle, but it comes with the rigor of the course, and it is something students end up adapting to over the course of 5 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you check with other colleges the approach to the curriculum is different and more fun. The process of learning is more fun and appealing making us satisfied of what we have done at the end. Sometimes we don't get how the teachers are expecting us to do our assignments but we figure it out some how. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-sem and end-sem).

My College Sucks

Placement Experience:

Since our HOD changed this year, I'm not sire about when the placements are available, most probably would be for the 5th year students so 9th sem onwards. Not sur3 about which companies either, highest package would be 8000 I'm guessing, we don't get paid much. My plan is to switch courses, this was absolutely useless to me :)

Comprehensive review of architecture curriculum

Placement Experience:

After 10 semester Students are eligible for placements. Yes,from last year they iffer on campus placements with highest package of 11 lakhs which is really good according to this course. average package is around 6 lakhs which is also decent. 15 out of 30 students could get the placements that is 50 percent. I am planning to pursue masters degree outside India after this course

good college for architecture in Karnataka

Remarks:

There are only few countable college who have separate college campus for architecture in India I'm proud to say RV had one of our college had one. I would say if you be a teachers student without conflicts and obtain good marks you will graduate with no problem.

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

I tried JEE but could not secure a good enough percentile to get into prominent NITs. MIT Manipal seemed to be better than any of the cet colleges with only the course fee being slightly on the higher end. I applied to SRM and VIT, both of which i got accepted into, but opted out as it seemed like both of these colleges rely heavily on student intake and are money minded. MIT Manipal has an exam called the MET which is based on a jee scheme (+3 -1). In my year the only marks required to secure a seat in the college was the MET but the scheme has changed and now board marks are also taken into consideration. JEE percentile can also be considered if the student secures above 95 , but most students take MET and are given ranks according to it....Read More

For you to get the Manipal name you have you give met which is Manipal Entrance Test. You have to score above 40 to get any seat in manipal.After that there are three rounds of counselling which you have to clear .. the college does not support any sort of reservation..
