Remarks

Bsc physics is a demanding course. Because after completion we can select a variety of pg courses. We can do professional courses like mca mba. or it provides a wide variety of pg courses like nuclear physics. quantumn physics. and if you are intetested in geology you can do geophysics. to study about universe you can do pg in astrophysics. The benefit is that if you do pg in reputed universities or any other universities on completion of your pg in physics you have the chance to be a part of INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION as a junior scientist or DEFENCE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION or any other reputed institutes under the govt of india.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Being a science course the syllabus are always updated. In the first year we learn about the introduction of astro physics mechanics and all. Also we have core course common course and complementary course. The course will be pure physics common course english is complusary and you can opt hindi or malayalam. The complementary course available in our college for bsc physics is mathematics and chemistry. In short a physics student must have an ample knowledge in maths and chemistry also.

Internships Opportunities

Since i had 2 papers backlogs i was not able to attend any placement drives or internships. Two of my friends placed at infosys two at mrf and the remainig some opted pg and i m decided to do. Mca after clearing my backlogs.

Placement Experience

2

Not up to the mark. The college as well as the departments provide full support and sends you go various placement drives conducted by various cimpanies like infosys. cognizant. mrf etc. No start ups or any other facilities are available

College Events

3.5

The campus life is awesome. All the major celebs lile onam. x mas. etc are celebrated in a grant way. Also the college union arranges department wise sports and games like cricket football volley ball etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Post metric scholarship e grand etc. arae available. For meriterious students many other scholarships are available from the government. There is no need of any loan to study here as it is a degree college only and more over it is an aided college. Un aided courses are also available but the fee is not more than 10000 per semester

Campus Life

2

The campus is not much appreciatable. Its only average. The mangement is trying maximum to make the campus lush and green. A butterfly garden is there ryt now. Various agricultural products are cultivated in the campus by NSS team.

Hostel Facilities

3

One of the negative of the college is hostel facility is available for girls only. Because most of the students are dayscholars and much are local resident with in a radius of 40 kmtrs. So there os no need of hostels. But private hostels are available in the surroundings

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
