Anonymous's Review On National Institute Of Technology - [NIT], Jamshedpur

It is renowned college and is deemed with central government and these college take students only as per merit and there are no paid seats in this college.These NIT's are the second best colleges after IIT's.

Course syllabus were fine but the faculty members made the academics too boring. They never tried to get the interest in the students. It is like just they come teach and go and finally get paid for their work. There was not much industrial exposure although our college is in the city of industries .Only once or twice we had gone for the industrial tour in our 4 years of B.tech.

Lot of software,analytical and core companies arrive for the placement drive.Different kinds of profiles are offered like software analyst,business analyst, management, engineer profiles, design profiles and a lot more.placement process is pretty good in our college.There is a alumni meet held once a year in the college where alumni from a batch come to the college and interact with the present students.

Events and extracurricular activities are so good when compared to other things that within our college, but they are not up to the mark compared to other universities.There are a bunch of technical teams in the college and they go to different national events conducted in India.There are three fests which we enjoy in the college and they culfest(cultural fest), Ojass(technical fest), Urja (sports fest).We also have different clubs for culturals.

The academic building is old and now the new academic building is being built with good infrastructure. The equipments in lab are too old and some don't even work and all i mention refers to mechanical labs but i heard from my friends of other branches also saying the same about their labs.There is wifi facility in hostels but not in classrooms.The library is neither big nor small it is just ok with size but the books in it are not of the latest edition.

Infrastructure of hostel is not pretty much good, but the facilities are just ok to say. They are single rooms where each room is allotted for one person. Being in hostel is compulsory for the students in our college even if they are from the local city.
