Remarks

Varanasi is a good place to be in.While other iits are almost cutoff from the main cities IIT BHU sits right at the centre of varanasi. The culture of IIT BHU is quite good and the alumni network is also a humungous one. I was getting civil engg. in this college and that is what i wanted so IIT BHU it was.

Course Curriculum Overview

IIT BHU follows the same course structure as that of IIT Kanpur. The open electives provided by the institute for every semester was fun to learn and different from the regular course which i have opted, so that i get to know some other departments as well. Faculties are quite interactive and well qualified. Almost all the teachers have a Masters degree from either the IITs or from foreign universities. Architecture department is our new addition this year. K.K. Pathak of civil engg. Department is a good, helping and insightful professor. Industrial exposure is also quite good. Our department was taken to the airport and we studied about various components and equipments.( As a civilian you wont be allowed to visit the areas which we visited)

Companies such as phonepe, paytm, jio, adobe, google, microsoft, nvidia, goldman sachs, cohesity, zs associates , fidelity, novartis, sail, iocl were some the companies which visited our campus. Amongst them cohesity offered the highest package of 60 lakhs in india. The highest abroad package was given by microsoft redmond which translates to around 1 crore INR. Profile offered were developer, product managers, managers, quality assurance managers, analyst, lecturers etc. The percentage of students placed were close to 77 percent.

Technical fest here is named Technex which has sponsorship from tech giants such as Samsung, Nvidia etc. Students from all over india participate in this 3 day techfest. First two days are reserved exclusively for events and presentations while the third day brings us the most awaited edm night or musical night. (Zubin nautiyal came and performed this year). Coming to the cultural fest, we have Kashiyatra with a footfall of more than 80000 participants. Every year the theme is different for this fest which brings such madness that every student wants to be a part of this fest.

Placement Experience:

Form the beginning of very first year students are eligible for the campus placements. TCS, cognizant, wipro, are the some companies visited here. Highest package is 44 lpa in amazon which is off campus for software role. Placements % is quite medium if you are serious about skill then you will be get a path here to go ahead. Arround 60 to 70 is the placement % My plans after getting degree is to get a job.

GLA University Mathura is Great!

Placement Experience:

Average package at GLA University may range between 5-7 lakhs but one student has managed to get placements of 55 lakhs and that is still the record placement from GLA University campus Mathura. Around 70-75% students are placed every year but I will be preparing for GATE as my ambition are to be atleast post graduate if not a PHD.

Good for learning and Skill development

Placement Experience:

Mostly te 6th sem (3rd year) got eligible for campus placement. Amazon, Accenture, AVL India, Atlan and many others (about 900+) visited and made 4000+ offers. The ave. package is about 5.25 LPA and highest crossed 39 LPA. Above 60%+ got their placement and the persentage of students receiving multiple offer is about 32%. After degrre want to build a strong carrer and to contribute in the grouth of Bharat.

Honest Opinion on IIIT ALLAHABAD

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester, many students get into the internship and many gets further preplacement through it. The companies visted are google, atlassian, flipkart, qualcomm, samsung, phone pe etc. Highest package is 1.21CR per annum. Average package is 30LPA 90% students got placed. Private job is the plan after getting the degree. 90% students gets placed.

So entry in IIT BHU was through JEE ADVANCE. I gave the examination and got an All India Rank(AIR) of 7533. Then I had Josaa counselling where I had to select colleges according to my priorities. So one of the many colleges I filled was IIT BHU(4 Year B.TECH Chemical Branch). The distribution of colleges is purely based on your ranks. Higher rankers will be prefferd above you.
