Remarks

For more practical knowledge, Under the name of central govt. Moreover a well known research centre Placements are very good from this institute. There are only two streams mechanical and electronics. which are futher divided into mechanical (3yr- tools nd die, 4 yr- die and mould) Electronics (3yr- electronics ,4 yr - mechatronics),According to me there is just one disadvantage for 12 pass students that after completion of studies you will get diploma not a degree. , which is somehow i think is a negative point

Course Curriculum Overview

Well, according to me everything is very up-to-date. our college revises its syllabus as per the requirement of the industries. Apart from this, we visit different industries nd get training too. But the syllabus which we cover. i think its pretty much sufficient for a child to learn a lot. Every individual performs their own practicals. No sharing of stuff is there. So i think its good that everyone can learn in very good nd efficient way

I don't know much but yes. Companies usually have their own testing criterias There are various stages of selection process We have also given classes on our speaking and listening skills in form of our GD sessions Those are really very helpful. As I'm not a final year student so I don't know much about placements but yes at the end every one who needs a job is placed

College Events

Yes,this is the thing which we need the most in our college, i know its a training centre but being located in Chandigarh and having such a great reputation . There must be events such as concerts nd live shows so that college life would be more fun with studies. As other colleges do have such events , so sometimes we feel our college lags here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the top three rankers have been given the scholarship for one sem based on 1st year academics result . Infact i have also been given the scholarship (i was lucky to score well), And yes apart from this, those who have less than certain amount of income annually. they have also been provided with the scholarship.

Campus Life

Talking about the infrastructure, it is all good We have been provided our separate working instruments. . Labs have been divided among 4 groups Softwares on which we work have been issued to us. Staff is very helpful and intelligent

Hostel Facilities

Evening is very good Hostels are well ventilated and have very good hygienic washrooms Hot water is available everytime Coming next towards the food. Breakfast , lunch and dinner all are very good But there is no fast food such as burgurs, pizza , shakes, and other yumm junk food. So if you are a foody prsn , you have to compromise here.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

JET was the entrance exam which I passed and I got 193 rank. I chose diploma in Mechanical Engineering because I was quite passionate about mechanics and all and also I was very eager to go into a "junior college", away from school life.

First of all this is a diploma college so you can take admission after 10th too . After taking admission by a entrance exam you can choose a 3yr or 4 yr course if you got options . Best skill based training centre -istc

The admission process was an entrance exam we were called to the college for the entrance exam there were a total of 180 seats 60 each in electronic engineering and mechanical and 30 each in advance diplomas I didn't avail any reservation benefit the application for can be found in istc website and the things which can be improved are first fees of entrance exam second the number of reservations it's a lot which is not good that's all...Read More

Internshio opportunities

In the month of May, the application forms for admission in ISTC are released on their official website istc.ac.in where you can apply the fees for the application form is 1200/- for the general category & 650/- for SC/ST. To apply the student must complete their matriculation from any board. The next step after filling application form is to print the admit cards for the entrance exam in the month of June. ISTC entrance exam is held in 1st week of July, which is a 100 marks exam containing 100 questions & also time is 100 minute for the exam. From these 100 questions, 20 questions are aptitude, 20 ques maths,20 ques science, 20 ques aptitude, 20 ques GK. The negative marking is 1/4. They declare results on the next day of examination on their official website with ranks scored by competitors. Then they call for first counseling for the first 140 ranks for filling general category seats & then after for remaining seats for SC/ST/OBC which are reserved...Read More
