Remarks

College management was good but I feel they should work more on Training and Campus cell so that better placements can be provided to passing out students.

Entrance Preview

I took - IITJEE, DCE, AIEEE. Got AIEEE rank and in Haryana Govt Counselling got ECE Stream in MRCE. This college was affliated to MD University Rohtak and was counted in top 5 Engineering Colleges in Haryana back in 2006. I was pretty happy to secure a position in this college as its placement was very good at that time.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course was distributed in 8 Semesters. 1st 2 Semesters were common for all streams and course covered the basics 12th PCM subjects along with basic engineering subjects. From 2nd to 8th Sem were the core ECE subjects along with electives such as Communications, Codig Skills, Numerical Methods etc.

Internships Opportunities

I got internship at Reliance and Airtel but both were secured by my efforts only. Did not get any help from college. No stipend was provided. Although college also encouraged us to do programming course during our 6 weeks summer break. All in all to sum up I think internship is one of the areas where my college lagged behind at that time.

Placement Experience

3

Placement was okay , not very upto the mark. I got placement in a Hyderabad based IT company - Convergys IMG at 3.25 LPA through pool campus. It could have been a better still if the college could have provided me a placement in NCR region only. This was the very reason I had joined MRCE after my schooling.

College Events

3.5

A lot of technical and cultural fests held with huge gatherings within the campus and a lot of celebrities/ singers were called to perform. I was member of organising committee once for the "Technokriti" fest and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was on higher end . Close to 85 K per year. Though the fees fluctuated a little bit every year. Other colleges close to 55 K per year at that time. So the difference of 30 K was pretty high 10 years back.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, Our college offered scholarship to merit students who came in university merit list. Also loan mela is organised for the students who come to take the admissions.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is very balanced. Lot of robotics and debate competition happen over the curriculum. Labs are decently equipped. All students whether belonging to different religions are treated equally.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I was a day scholar so did not take the hostel facilities. But what I heard from my hostel friends was that hostel was pretty good and mess food was also of good quality.

Alumni/Alumna

When I joined the college it was pretty young and only 2 batches were there so ours was the 3rd batch. But overall interaction with senior students was good. Also they guided us regarding all the facilities which were there during campus tour. Also they helped us with lecture notes and books as well.

Exam Structure

Exams are held according to Semester and are conducted by the University. Apart from Sem exams there were 2 internal exams for each subject in every sem. All in all due to this the Semester remained hectic but it benefitted the students in Sem exams as most of the topics already were prepared by students during internals.

Faculty

4

Faculty was mainly from IIT and was very good. I really enjoyed attending the classes of my HOD - MS Giri who was former wing commander in Air Force. Other faculties were also very nice. What I didnot like was that Lab Assistants were from local colleges only in Haryana and not very upto the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I am very fond of computers and mobile devices since my childhood and want to learn the work behind these smart gadgets. Overall faculty students ratio is good it is approximately 1:40. Most of the teachers are M.tech qualified from prestigious universities like Jamia and Aligarh and some PhD holders as well. As far as teaching is concerned, the overall methodology is good and don't expect some game changing scenarios. Most of the time, term exams happen in timely manner. Due to covid there was some sort of irregularities but now it is all good right now. Passing exams is not that much challenging if you have basic understanding of concepts and ability to apply them. Most of questions comes from previous year papers.
