The Great Time Period of Life

I would say it was good mostly & a few things like facilities in hostels, labs and sports could have been improved, I dont know current status though- might also have been improved by now. More Outbound Tours could be organized for students as we had only

I appeared CET- Haryana & got a rank, so that i was eligible for the counselling of Kurukshetra University through which i got admission in this college. Main things for me was closest option to Chandigarh which was my home town and also that the college Looks were good and feedback was also good overall from Seniors/Students already studying as college was few years old in Year 2000 when I started my Engineering.

It was fine, Around 6 to 8 Theory Subjects along with 2 to 3 Practicals in each Semester made sure that, we went through every aspect of Technical Subjects as well as subjects Like Political Science, Maths, Physics etc initially in First Year along with core enginering Subjects.

Internship was mostly taken care by the students themselves at that time, Mostly were without stipend at that time as most found it tough to get same, Dont know about current status at the college, Ideally it should be taken care by college Training & Placement Office.

Oil Technology (Max Package: 3. 6 Lac| Avg Package: 3. 2 Lac)

Annual Function was always great with Cultural Fest and Sports meets every year, I Still have regret of not singing in same as i was too shy at that time.

It was feasible at that time with Free Seats around 6000 per year and Payment Seats 54000 per year, but the difference was quite high, Locals or High Scorers in CET Test used to Get Free Seats mostly.

I did not heard of any, Dont know current status, Ideal they should have one for the students who need it the most. At Our time most of the local students used to get free seats as they were having 85% quota of seats and outside states students like us had only 15% quota of seats for them. I think in whole india no local reservation etc should be followed. The Local College authorities should also work on funding poor and needy students who deserve it.

Extracurricular should always be there and it should be compulsory for all to participate in one or other activity so that confidence of everyone gets improved.

Hostel was average and food at the mess was also average i would say, Not too good and not too bad type, Used to enjoy every meal though because it was College.

Though to many people it looks tough, It would be really Great if we can plan and do a get together with max people possible, Can be planned in any city but planning should be proper with some people taking all ownership to organize same, Ideally Delhi or Chandigarh can be the City where we can meet.

Exams came every 6th month, as it was semester system, 8 Semester in 4 Years and that too with Lots of Sessional ( Internal) Exams in between along with Practicals and Lots of Assignments etc.

I would say most of the faculty was nice and helpful apart from a few exceptions whom i won't like to name as their strictness also actually made us what we are today.
