Wonderful experience. I don't think I have any bad memory about MIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

I did my B.Tech in Automobile Engineering which had electives as Engine Design and Chassis Design. We also had general Science Subjects like Maths, Physics and Chemistry in the first year.

Internships Opportunities

Internship was very good. I had them in Hindustan Motors Hosur and also in TVS Car Service Stations. They gave a different experience and showed how the real industry life will be after completion of the course. There were no stipend offered since they are short term ones.

Placement Experience

Excellent. We had lot of companies from the core domain and also from IT sector visited the campus. To name a few in Domain ( Tata motors, HM, M&M, Rane, Ford ) Also from the IT side (TCS, Infosys, CTS, Satyam, Wipro etc.)

College Events

Annual Day - MITAFEST (3 days celebration with all outsiders are invited) rest of them are internal like Hostel day, Founders Day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a Government college the fee structure is very less and our hostel fees also on dividing basis hence the expenses were moderate to low only. When you compare to the private college fees MIT was offering the course in a very low fees.

Campus Life

Very good life. Had full range of fun while studying. We had about 80:20 ratio on Men & Women. Very decent relationship. People from various social levels rich & poor and also Town to Village studied here. We also had a reservation for other states students. So got a good mix of students in terms of culture and social status.

Hostel Facilities

There are 5 hostels for boys and 1 for girls. Decent rooms even though the building was old. There are 2 messes (Veg & Non-Veg) and they offered a good food.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

We have a good Alumni network and regular connects are arranged by the chair persons in Chennai, Bangalore and other locations (out of India too)

Good. Some of the professors were very well educated, experienced and excellent in teaching. Few are average.

Rmk collegeof engineering and technology has strong placement with excellent percentage. They will train you from 1st year for the placement. The average package is 5-6Lakhs per annum.and the highest pacakge is 66 lakhs.

My Life inside VIT'V

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year,they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course.The placement is around 95 percent.My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus.There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

A review about KARE

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

I chose this college mainly for placement reason.Also this is one of the best college in tamilnadu.The admission process is quite less compared to other colleges.
