Remarks

Our college management is good, thanks to the college student body that are elected from students and actively take part in all the major decision-making process of our college and hence ensure the best for all the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

My college's computer science department is really great. They are very flexible among all other Indian colleges and update the syllabus to make sure you get the latest knowledge and experience. The topics taught in our course make us good at programming and do a real coding project in our free time. In the summer, we have an internship program that gives us actual office and work experience and also research experience in foreign universities for the stipulated time if we choose it. Overall the curriculum tries the best to make us qualified computer science engineers ready to take on the upcoming challenges in the future. The curriculum is 2 semesters a year with assignments and tests spread evenly during the semester with the idea of continuous evaluation.

Placement Experience

5

Our placement is the best in the country. We also get internships. Most people score an internship for 2nd year summer and everyone has an internship in the third year. Placement is top-notch in all the renowned tech companies like Google, Uber, Microsoft, and upcoming startups like Rubrik and Cohesity.

College Events

4.5

We have many cultural clubs for each genre like music, dance, art, drama. Apart from this, we have 3 major college festivals, mood Indigo for culture, Techfest for Technical advancements, and Eureka for Entrepreneurship. They are renowned to have the highest footfall thanks to the city of Mumbai, and our college students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is expensive with an average of 2.5 lakhs per annum but we have a few rebates for parents with net family income less than 5lpa. Also, we have an alumni association who provides an interest-free loan, just with a bond that after IIT, then have to contribute the same back to some other student.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I haven't. Though it's easy to avail for loans. Bank provides loans based on your college admission confirmation document. Also every semester, you have to go to the loan and collect the demand draft for the next semester. The rates are nominal and many parents opt for loans due to low rates. There are chances of scholarship but most are focused on means based and are preferably given to students with low-income families.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio of our college is famously bad. It's around 11 boys: 1 girl in our batch. Though in later years there has been a preference for girl student and the ratio has changed too. Our college maintains a rich hostel culture with a yearly general championship amongst hostels which include events from all over sports, dance, music, and tech. There are society and club for almost everything. Like chess, literary arts, Indian games. The overall culture is rich and accepting of all gender and orientation. The economic status is never something we care for among friends and there is something called wing culture which is like a set of 6-8 rooms that are together in a corridor and there people bond the best and help each other throughout the college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, it's compulsory for everyone. It's included in the fee. Our hostel maintains good sanity and cleanliness. Until the final year, the rooms are 2 occupancies. Only final year students get single rooms. Apart from that, the hostel has small playing rooms and courts for tennis, volleyball, and football. The mess provides decent food though not rich in taste but surely rich in nutrients.

Alumni/Alumna

The college network is strong. We can ping any alumni over LinkedIn or Facebook for any query related to their job and work, and they always reply and help us. Also, there is a network of mentors that are final year student who tries to help freshman and sophomore students in developing contact and adjusting to college curriculum. This culture is good and helps us know our best option and always have people to brainstorm our life plans with.

Admission

Our college has an elaborate entrance exam called IIT-JEE which is a countrywide exam and the score makes you eligible for all the IITs. The exam is of two stages, one around the first week of April and another on the last week of May. The entrance exam is pretty elaborate and hence people undergo preparation in their classes 11 and 12 in multiple coaching centres across the country. The exam is primarily on 3 subjects: Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. It's highly recommended that people only choose this college entrance if they are already good at it because the actual exam paper is world-renowned to be the toughest of all. Choosing a branch and college are highly biased on the rank you get in the exam.

Faculty

5

Our college has one of the best faculty in the field who are researchers as well. We can actively take part in the research and contribute too. The best teaching methods are implied and professors try to give the most useful knowledge they can in the limited time they have allocated for the course.

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.
