Remarks

Bad infrastructure. No proper clenliness. Locality is not good.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

There are 8 semester in atotal of 4year. first year is the basic and all students have same subjects except the core. End semester examination aree conducte. If 6. 0 cgpa is available in the mark list, then we are considerd for placements. IVs are unfortunately not offered by the college. But it is mandatory to complete 2 IVs with college permission.

Placement Experience

3

The main company for placement is Infosys. Mandatory steps to get recruited is CGPA and the performance in the interview. Above 6. 0 gpa is required for placement action. Institution has an avg of 6. 2 Cgpa. They have not taken any steps for placement season because of COVID19 outbreak.

College Events

3

Techfest is conducted with the name Aaroh with budget of 15 lakh rupees Arts fest and sport events are conducted. Tournaments based on soccer are organized. Worksops are conducted on a regular basis of for atleast 1 in a month. College life is really enjoyable NSS - NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME is available.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Merit seat 35000/year Management seat 65000/year Bank challan is the accepted mode of fee transfer Additional charges are 12000 regarding PTA fund per year College provides transparency in fee because the institution is semi govt. Mangement section is controlled by IHRD.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not opted for any loans. Many scolarships are offered by the college and the community and presented as no failed students are eligible for scholarship.

Campus Life

2

Gender ratio f the college is 1000:800 approx Student parties lik KSU, SFI, ABVP, AISF are on the college. Worksops are conducted on a regular basis of for atleast 1 in a month College life is really enjoyable NSS - NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME is available and awesome moments are collected More than studie it is somewhat that can be a part of my heart too.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes, hostels are available for freshers only as ragging issues are mandatory probblems to look forward. Rest of senior students from other districts opt for renting house. The fresher hospitals are not as good as otger because of the facilities are cheap as for the money. Food is also cheap.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are arrogant and wild in ragging juniors. Some are often helpfull in our college life. Some are remarkable.

Admission

I opted as engineering is my passion. I chise this institution by hearing the reviews and public opinion. Admission procedure is according to KTU. As usuall plus 2 marks are considered, the entrance exams are evaluated. Based on Rank the seat can be decided.

Faculty

3.5

Considering the faculty most of them are experienced. Some of them have PHDs in some subjects. Often their entrace criterian is difficult. Avg age of the faculty is 38. Guest lectures are also available. Based on experience. Wonderfull educational comfort can be experienced.

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies - [KUFOS], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Food Technology)
Reviewed on May 11, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
