Remarks

College of Engineering Adoor provides good atmosphere for students those who are interested in academics and other extra curricular activities. The faculty and staffs make the students more comfortable in college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Well, College of Engineering Adoor is under Abdul Kalam Technical University (KTU) which is newly implemented university. There are two internal exam in one semester. There are two eligibility criteria to attend university exam, internal mark above 23 out of 50 & 75% attendance.

Placement Experience

1.5

Even though it was better college in Kerala, the placement and job opportunities are less. Only few companies are conducting recruitment from our college. Also there is no placement for mechanical engineering students in our college.

College Events

2.5

Aaroh It is the annual techfest conducted in our college. Many students from many colleges are attending this annual techfest. In this function students of our college unified together to exhibit new technical ideas. Aaroh 2018 was a two day program.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are three type of seats. Merit Management NRI For merit students the fee is 35k Management- 65k The fee structure is feasible for students from all economic classes. There is no any other fee like all other private colleges in Kerala.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship offered by the college. But there are many scholarship to students by the state and central government. Government provides many scholarship for students in backward caste and minorities. There is no grants to students falls in general category.

Campus Life

2.5

The labs in our college are too good. Labs and lab faculty make all students comfortable in practical side of the course. There are many Clubs active in our college like dance club, music club( band), eco club etc NSS club of the CEA us very active. Also there are groups like Astra and drutha which are attending annual meets conducted by SAE.

Hostel Facilities

2

Actually, Iam a dayscholar since the distance between college and my home is not so long. Hostel facility of our college is a big problem students facing. There are no official college hostel eventhough there students from different districts of Kerala. That make students to stay at private hostels and pain guest houses.

Alumni/Alumna

Pass out students from our college work in different field. Most of them are abroad and there many get together conducted for them annually. Many of them are in government jobs too. Most of the computer engineering students from our college was working for Infosys and other famous IT companies.

Admission

I got admission in College of Engineering Adoor through KEAM. During that year cut off rank is around 12k (for merit seat). Since I have 11560 in KEAM I am enrolled in merit list. Actually the admission process is very simple. After getting admission through allotment process done by CEE, we want submit all the certificates we had.

Faculty

3.5

The main attraction of College of Engineering Adoor is the faculty. Student friendly teachers who are supporting in academics and extra curricular activities. All the professors are highly qualified.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
