Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It is quite relevant but the main Loophole is, Colleges think that Only Cramming & writing exams makes us Scholar so they are much Indulge in completing Syllabus & then putting you in circumstances of writing difficult exams, Writing Exams Is not that Makes you a Godd Engineer but Quality Education & Practical knowledge make you a scholar, if you have bith these the. You can be A Prominent Engineer. Research work is quite good in the college, & internship as well.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is good but it's like not everyone get placed, Main reason being no proper preparation For the interview & That Freaky Nervousness Before the interview, Many Prominent Companies do Come in Our Clg for Placements but the Job Vacancies are Few and candidates are So Many. So it's like a Hoch Poch situation.

College Events

4

There are So many events Organised by various Societies & college groups which is a good thing To loose study burden. Some of these are - Genesis the most Prominent & Awesome Cultural Fest of our college. Apart from that there are Many tech events, Fm Radio Jockey, Mimicry etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's Expensive For me to Pay as my Dad is a Salesman In a stationary shop, so I hope you can understand how much difficult it is to cop up with the expenses, but still he never Complain about it, but I still want The fee structure should be Moderated for students whose financial Condition is not so good as mine.

Fees and Financial Aid

It offers scholarship but I have not been able to Grab it, tried 3-4 times but Wasn't able to Grab.

Campus Life

3.5

They Are Ok Ok types. Not so good Not so bad, Campus life Is Good but academic syllabus & all it's kinda Burdensome. Overall we all Enjoy our stay at the college with friends, they are Like second family having fun, studying it's really a fun time.

Hostel Facilities

3

No I have not opted for hostels, I live in a rented room actually, But I do Have some hostelite friends with whom I had often visit Hostel, infrastructure is Not that good for 3rd & 4th year students. Like rooms are in sharing But That doesn't count, there are Common washrooms & all.

Alumni/Alumna

Kind off, They are somewhat helpful & Sometimes they are not, but my class fellows they are truly helpful to me.

Admission

At first I got admission Through My JEE rank, in the online counselling process but my Bad luck My Seat got cancelled due to Non availability Of certain Documents at the time of counselling & after that I got admitted in the college Via Direct admission & Got A seat In Civil Engg. Which I wanted so I am happy Enough now. Whether I wasn't able To get my fee waiver seat but Atleast gor admission Without skipping a whole year.

Faculty

4

They are Good, But most of the Senior & Prominent Professors & PhD holders are Still Teaching 21st century Youth By the means & style & pattern they had Studied in early 19th century. It's not an anecdote but serious thing, CEntrance exam, talk with teachers, showing results and basic questions by viva and short discussions. But you have to pass in the entrance exam firstly before everything. But before admission they are very informative and very very helpful to you. If he is not aware of the present Means, in my opinion New Staff & Means Are required to clear concepts of the students.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
