I think my college is a average government intuition in indian education. Also as it is operated by central government there is certain lag in communication.

One thing I can say for sure that that our curriculum is outdated and the government needs to update this with much latest trends and practical. Also the reserch driven work is lacking hugely in our college that for sure. As a college graduate is expected to be up to date and practical and professional in the way he or she deals a particular situation research driven thinking is absolutely necessary for future endeavor of our great nation.

Generally our college has a descent placement statistics specially in upper branches like computer science, electrical, communication electronics and mechanical. Also there are Internship opportunities in mainly software branchee as compared to core branches.

Technical and management- OJASS the technomanagement fest of our college. It is second largest fest for eastern India Cultural- CULFEST Sports- URJA is our sports fest which has provided ample opportunity for athletic competition in our organization. There are thousands of students gathered from across the nation every year.

As this is government college its has fixed fee criteria for certain income categories. My fee is Rs 250000 per annum. Modes of payment are internet banking and e-challan. Yes there is transparency in fee breakdown. Also the students prevailing educational loans can pay by demand draft.

Yes I have opted for state government scholarship program. There are certain income requirements for for applying to scholarship. As far as college fee remission is concermed annually I get 125000 scholarship or fee remiited.

Campus life so far has been average. As far as gender ratio is concerned its disappointing because engineering colleges in india doesn't has much female attention. But the government since past year has provided reservation to female category which has helped improving the sex ratio for sure. As a Institute of national importance we have all state students which is quite diverse. Politics is certain missing in our college among students. What out college does have in different cultural groups and we have a fest for that too.

Yes I have opted for hostel. The college provide single rooms from sophomore year to the final year of btech graduates. Actually it is compulsory for every student in my course to stay is hostel so there is sufficient room for everybody.

Yes our college does have a healthey alumni-student relationship. Also the alumni is incredibly supportive.

I appeared for JEE MAINS after getting 86percent in intermediate and qualified both the criteria i. e. more 75percent in intermediate and top percentile in JEE. Then I had JOSAA counselling dates in JUNE-JULY after the results were out in MAY then I got the best college I deserved at that rank.

I think in my department which is electrical and electronic engineering of NIT JAMSHEDPUR our department has almost 15 to 20 faculty members. Our major professors are very much qualified indeed but sometimes I feel that there is a general communication gap between the students and faculty members. Also the lack of industrial and practical experience is prevailing for sure in our Institute.
