Remarks

College management have no concern for the students and their future. All they want is to snatch money from the students and nothing else.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is as defined by the UGC and the AICTE. Since it is an autonomous University, it structures it's own method of implementing that curriculum. The Exam structure is research driven as both theory and practical are of 100 marks and the final ratio is 60:40 for theory and practical. It is somewhat relevant and fair. Its only role in my life is that it has taught me how to prepare for exams in a short period of time.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement of the University for the Computer Science branch is almost 90%. Rest of the branches are not assured for the placements. The companies which mostly visit the campus are IBM, TCS, Capgemini, Infosys and many others. About 95% of the companies visiting the campus are service oriented companies. Their average package is 3-4 lacs per annum. The University does takes some measures regarding placements of the students but in my view they are not sufficient.

College Events

4

The most popular event celebrated in the college is Moonstone. It is the annual fest of the college. It is held for 2 days and their are many sub-events held during this period. Anyone who wants to showcase their skills can participate or can even hold their own event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The B. Tech program fee at the time of my admission was ?95000 and an extra security deposit of ?5000 is taken at the time of admission. Fees is accepted either fully or in two installments. Its upon the payer how to pay it. The modes accepted are online mode of transaction and cheques. The fees for this University is feasible for a regular middle class family, but they are continuously increasing it year by year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college offers minority scholarships sponsored by various foreign universities but I've never availed it due to some restrictions.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is approximately 10:9 and campus is spread in a vast area so their is plenty of space to roam around inside the campus. Don't expect any sort of lavish lifestyle inside the campus like swimming pools and game zones. Yes there is a basketball court, a football ground clubbed with the cricket ground, a volleyball and a badminton court. There are many gardens inside the campus. Very few extracurricular activities have been recorded inside the campus. Yes, there are sports competitions and seldom have they organised any robotics competition or any debate competition. There is no such information about religion and it's diversity inside the campus but it is mixed and there is no such dominance of a particular religion or community.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes I opted for the hostel in 1st year. 3 people have to share a room. Their is sufficient seats in the hostel for students. The rooms are not well furnished but are liveable. The condition of the bathrooms is not so good, it is not cleaned so often. The students definitely have to suffer alot due to the unhygienic conditions of the bathrooms and the toilets. The mess facility is also available, but the food quality is pathetic. You would never want to eat such food until you're totally helpless. Their are some shops inside the campus for students, like stationery and bakey and other fast food shops. Also, nearby PG's are available. Their cost is also reasonable starting from around 2000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

Only some of the seniors are helpful rest of them have no relevance with you and don't even know you. And also, the alumni network is not so great.

Admission

I got the admission through JEE Mains Merit List. I always wanted to be a Software Engineer so I opted for B. Tech Computer Science. They ask for the students JEE Mains marks and then according to the their cut-off they allot you your branch. Their is also a Management quota if you can afford huge amount of fees.

Faculty

3.5

Around 80 lecturers are their in my course and the average age of those faculties is almost 45 years. Very few faculties are found to have an expertise over the subject and a good command over their communication skills and only they can provide clarity about that particular subject of yours. So you need to find them and win their confidence. Rest of them simply read and make you cram. Most of the lecturers in the University hold industry level certifications.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate as comparatively less companies visits every year. Number of students for placements are more and companies visits are less that cause less placement ratio for on campus. Moreover upto the end of 8th semester almost 80% of students get placed both including on campus and off campus. My plan is to get a job after graduation.

In my point of view If you can afford good fee you should never even think of this college. The college is only for local students or the students those do not have a good score and wants a college with no donation and students having strong will power that they will not mix up with the local students can go for the admission.
