On a whole the experience is fantastic so far

The first thing is the Infrastructure, the college itself is known for its Infrastructure and facilities it provided. The college is well-equipped with all the facilities that an engineering college should have. The college has an excellent academic performance, It varies with different departments. In the Mechanical Engineering department, I must say there is no alternative college campus than CSIT especially in Raipur-Durg (CG). The reason behind preferring this college is the quality of education and competition environment. There is always a competition ongoing between this college and others, especially in mechanical engineering department, that who will be at the top. For admission, you have to appear for CGPET or JEE Mains although I have taken admission through Lateral Entry scheme after Diploma on a merit basis student have to give entrance exam mostly held in April-May after which counselling will take place online and rankers will get admission.

I was in Mechanical Engineering, but we are not bounded by the branch we have taken. We are free to choose courses from other branches as well. Teachers in our college are amazing. They are knowledgeable and each one is a master of his/her subject and their teaching quality is indeed very high. Most of them are well experienced. Professors and Teacher Assistants are always available and willing to help in any academic matter. All the faculties are very helpful and supportive.

There are staff who can support you in finding a placement. There is T & P (Training and Placement) department in the college campus you can make an appointment and they are always there for assistance. From the 7th semester, you become eligible for campus placements if you don't have any backlogs (or have 1 or 2, it also depends on the companies visiting for campus placement and their different eligibility criteria).

The fee structure is a little bit expensive in point of view as you need at-least 4-5 Lakhs for tuition fees only and other expenses may include hostel and bus fees but still, I guess it is lower than other college's fees still then its totally depends on you what you expect from your college, knowledge point of view its worth it. There are many scholarships available for students, I am not sure about this but there is a full fee wavier scheme for top ranker and also a scholarship for SC, ST and OBC category. The amount of scholarship varies according to categories (SC/ST/OBC).

The college has a central library named Tagore Library with a wide range of books & journals. The library is fully air-conditioned and the view from the 4th floor and its peacefulness give you the willing environment for your study. For a refreshing break, there is a Canteen and Cafeteria (Franchise of Nescafe). The thing I like the most! Small classrooms with the limited number of students in each class (60 Approx) so you get more time with the teachers during lessons to have your questions answered. The campus has really very beautiful. It has a variety of flora and fauna. Students get full exposure here in various fields which in turn contribute to overall personality development. The campus has various clubs like Rock Band (Blue Ballad), Robotics Club, SAE India, Photography Club (!-Click). The sports facility provided by the institution is quite advance, one can play almost all sports, have various courts, fields. CS/IT organizes a National Level Techno-Management Fest "LAQSHYA" every year.
