This college is very good. There is no restriction in moving outside campus till 10 pm. All staffs are helpful.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yeah, the course curriculum is relevant,research-driven, and fair. The course is totally based on modern problems and solutions. It also helps in taking internship to the dream company and also help during placement. The exam is based on two groups. One is mid sem, the other is end sem and there are a couple of vivas, quizzes.
Placement Experience
The placement of IIT (ism) Dhanbad is really good. Almost 80% of students get placed and the remaining students go for higher study and for research. Placements are held in 2 months first in December and the other is in May. In december2019, 21 students got placed in Microsoft with a 43 lac package. Many 2nd and the 3rd-year student gets an internship. I have not to get an intern till now but I am sure I will definitely get an intern for next year.
College Events
There are 4 fests that are celebrated in our college which are concetto, srijan, prakkaram, khanan. Out of these srijan is the largest east India cultural fest. Many students from other colleges also participate. Cincetto is a technical fest. Parakkaram is a sports fest and khanan is a technical fest organized by mining students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. Almost 1 lakh rupees per semester for the tuition fee for general and OBC category students but for general EWS and OBC whose parents income is less than 5 lakh, they have to give 2/3rd fee waiver. for sc/st students no fee is imposed for tuition. Apart from tuition fees, almost 15000 amount all students must pay as 15000 money is the mess fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college offers plenty of scholarship opportunities. The eligibility criteria are according to merit list and parents' income less than 5 lakh. First, those who want to take a scholarship had to fill the form and submit it to the director and after few days the name will be announced who got a scholarship.
Campus Life
College life is very good and it will be remembered to me till my life. No of girls in college is low almost 60 per 100 boys. There is no discrimination against girls. All boys and girls are friendlier to each other. There are a number of clubs like riboism, mantham, and so on.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a great alumni network in this college. On the occasion of Basant, all alumni come to college and celebrated and remind them of the old days. Seniors are also very helpful. They help in submitting assignments, exam preparation, placement tips, etc.
Admission
I had cracked jee advanced 2019 and I had a couple of colleges to choose from. I had chosen IIT Dhanbad because it is one of the old and beautiful colleges. I had chosen this college through jossa counseling. I had frozen the branch in just the 2nd round of counseling. My admission took place on 24th July 2019.
Faculty
There are 4 to 5 lectures taken 5 days in a week and also 2 to 3 labs are taken. Teachers are well experienced approximately age 45 years. They are ready to clear doubt anywhere anytime. They are very helpful. They explain how to give the best presentation.
