I had two options VIT Chennai (Metallurgy) and RECM (Civil). Both the colleges were relatively new. VITC high fees and other expenses made me chose RECM. Moreover I had an inclination towards Civil. Admission are on basis of JEE Mains Score. Under rank of 75-80k one can easily land in this college. No GD or PI's are conducted for admission. I messed up my JEE Mains and BITS entrance so had no chance for NIT's and BITS. At our times admission were on basis of UPSEE ranks.
