Review about Poona college

If you want to just and just study then you should definitely take admission but if are looking even for lil bit if fun activity then this college is big no

First year of the exam is held by college. 2nd and 3rd is conducted by university. About exam:- College take exam in same college. Paper are set at university level but there is problem with their checking process. They are bias with students. If your behaviour is good then you need not worry but if behaviour is not good but you study hard still your marks will be less than that of good behaviour students

THERE IS NO CAMPUS PLACEMENTS. This college doesn’t have campus placement at all. You have to search for yourself.

College main purpose is teaching and no entertainment There is no such great events held by the college. There is one annual event thats it. That event is simply get together in hall. Events like quiz and knowledge related in quite frequent. Once in two months. Other than this there is none.

Fees is the reason many people take admission in this college. Fees is quite low as compared to other colleges of the same degree. 2/10th. You have options like quarterly, half yearly or full payment as an option to pay fees. Library fees is included in your annual fees. There is different deposits to access gym department but it is not regulated. You can exercise there without paying deposit and nobody seems to care

There is no scholarship provided by college for study related but if you participate in sports and represent college on state level then there is some kinda scholarship.

Gender ratio is just absurd. 90 male to 10 female. Every class has this ratio(90:10). There are no common activities except for annual intercity trip. There are few foreign students in college which is common in pune. Multiple religious people from different state abd country study there.

There is hostel very nearby which is run by trustee of poona college but doesn’t come under poona college. Room are decent. Each room gets good sun light. There are bunk beds in every room. There are four students in one room. Annual fees is 6,000 per student. Food service id not provided by hostel. You need to apply for tiffin service. Food of tiffin is not that good but for 2000/month food is good.

Seniors are kind of invisible. Nobody cares about senior junior thing. From my course senior classes were in different building.

I had interest in IT. I get to know that study in pune is good. I researched about colleges and close down to poona college. Had heard they have good teaching faculty. Sports sections was well upgraded. About admission process:- I collected the admission form and submitted it with copy of certificates.

For every subject you will be assigned different teachers. First year is very different than 2nd year. 1st year teachers don’t teach you in 2nd and 3rd year. First year teachers are quite formal. They just teach you for sake of teaching but for 2nd and 3rd they teach you till you get it. They are there to give you knowledge. If you attend their lecture i bet you won’t be needing any extra classes.
