Entrance Preview

I gave AIEEE and ComedK. My seniors suggested to take ECE stream. My Rank in AIEEE was around 14000. I selected this college because my seniors were studying here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4 years course. It has provided me with the necessary tools to enhance my skills more, taught me valuable knowledge. Time management was awesome. Semester exams were in the month of December and june.

Internships Opportunities

Our college provided us the internship. We did our final project in the college itself and the our department provided us all the related requirements and our lab assistants supported us always.

Placement Experience

Normally the placements in Gurunanak dev engineering college commence in the beginning of the final year (Pre-final Semester) in the month of July. Prior to this, an invitation is sent to all the students and they can join the placement process.

College Events

Lots of events were held in our college. Like Treasure Hunt, Charismata and many other. Our college offer community events, concerts, campus lighting and parties that are often free of charge and high quality.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Students are expected to pay the full fee for the academic year. Partial payments / installments would not be entertained.Fees 70, 000/- Per Year.For rooms with bath attached rooms on three sharing basis charges at Rs. 50, 000/- per annum per student.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided by guru Nanak Dev Engineering college to the students those who have scored good and are not able to pay the fees. Our college always help students to get loans from the bank.

Alumni/Alumna

Graduate alumni from Guru Nanak Dev engineering college are working in of MNC's and have degrees in a wide variety of disciplines. They are spread across India and other countries too.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very very hectic. Sometime we had faced 3 internal exams in single day. There were no gap in between the exams. Lab exams were fine.

Faculty

Very Experienced faculty. I am truly thankful to my teachers for there support during study hours. They were very supportive. The teachers helped us to improve our skills more.

A great place for learning and career growth

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

My life at CMR - University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

My campus life so far

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.

Experience through words

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.
