Course Curriculum Overview

PhD program is a doctorate program which has the duration of two years. The course structure is very good and focuses on deep and advanced research and practicals. The days are generally very hectic and exams are also very tiring.

Placement Experience

Phd program is a research level program and the students receive stipend to do the same. The students are provided with jobs and placements offers in various private and government agencies. The institution is very good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure of the PhD program is not very high and is easy to afford and the student already receives the stipend. The fee structure is around 40 thousand. Hence the fee structure of the institution is very feasible.

Campus Life

The institution provides with quality education and space to research to the students. There are also various seminar halls and auditorium. Various workshops are arranged for the students to enhance their knowledge.

Admission

The ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) was established im 1989. It is an institute to undertake lead researches in the area of the Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology. To get admission, the candidate should be a post graduate and then they will have to give the entrance exam and they will be selected on the same basis.

The institution provides with very high level education and experience of research and practicals. The faculty of the college is very professional and passionate and also they are well qualified and trained. They focus on imparting knowledge to the PhD students

Due to high interest on this course I choose this course faculty are very good and they have good teaching experience. Qualification of faculty is 6-7 years of experience. Terms of exam held 3 times in a year and difficult to moderate.

Remarks:

Thapar institute overall has a good image especially for engineering programs but they are not concerning for Master's and PhD students and their placements. The quality of faculty is deteriorating day by day as non-deserving candidates are higher than deserving candidates. they prefer their own connections for giving job to candidates and reject deserving candidates without citing any reason.

Good college

The admission in this college is quite tough, as being a government college. Either we can enter through NET examination or through Integrated entrance exam of the institute. I joined this institute for my course and have done my Msc from other college. We can apply online for admission and the entrance fees is also very low, exam was conducted on a large scale through out the state and then there will be process of certificate verification.
