My life at RSU

We have exams in the month of December and April, even and odd semesters respectively, for the evaluation the internal marks from class tests and assignments are taken as well. All the subjects are standard and we read about them right from the first semester, there are some basic engineering subjects in the first semester as well.

Internships are not given here, but they are trying to offer and the process is going on. As far as placements are concerned we get good opportunities, with high paying salaries. Most of us get placed, the CSE department has a high chance of getting placed than others as most of the companies that come require the students to have coding skills.

The fee for the whole course itself is Rs. 1.62 Lakhs. For the first year, it is Rs. 40,200 and the following three years it is Rs. 40,000, hostel fee is not included in this, it is paid separately, the college provides scholarships to needy students and hence it won't be much of a difficulty to manage.

We celebrate all the festivals in this college, the sports facilities in this college are very good. There are indoor games like Table tennis and carrom and a huge ground for outdoor games like cricket, kho-kho and hand ball, we are not always indulged in academics alone.

I live in the college hostel, it is my first experience, yet it feels almost like home. We have rooms on sharing basis, two members per room. There is an uninterrupted supply of water and electricity throughout the day. The food is provided three times a day and it is delicious.

GUJCET, like the JEE, is the entrance exam for engineering in Gujarat, it applies to all the colleges in Gujarat. I applied for the college in person and based on my marks I was merit listed and was called for the course selection, I selected Computer science engineering.

All of us in the college have a mentor to whom we can complain about any issues we face. The faculties are friendly in nature, especially the ones in our department. They know the subject they teach very well and can answer any queries we have, they are approachable at any time too.
