Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is based on CDIO Frame(Course Design Implement Operate).This curriculum groomed to provide many industry - specific knowledge to the students. So,I am proud to say we are the first batch of the CDIO frame.There have been many industrial visits organized but our batch didn't attended due to financial reasons.We have attended many internship within the campus and also outside the campus.
Placement Experience
The companies for placements in mechanical stream are Amazon,Tata consultancy services,TATA,Titan,Honda,HCL,WIPRO,IBM, Microsoft,TAFE,Brahmos,TVS, Thought works,hp. The steps for recruitment is aptitude testing and then interviews The Percentage of students placed every year approximately 60%. Yes,Our college making special steps to prepare for placement season by motivating the students to attend many workshops and paper publication.
College Events
There have been conducting many events in cultural. In recent times,a Quest (2020) has been organized which is our biggest event where all school students are participated. In recent times, A UNISEC has been initialised in our college for students to participate in space science projects and development of Nano satellites.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For me the fees structure is expensive. I have admitted this college by self financing where fees is more than aided fees. The mode of payments accepted by our college is only by online. Yes,there is an additional charge for each semester which costs around 3000 which is for semester exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have availed the scholarship for around 6000 rupees.The eligibility for this scheme is annual income should should not more than 1,00,000 and and the student must submit the income certificate and to submit the College ID card Xerox and also to submit the fee receipt. I have also availed the amount of 12000 for alumni scholarship which the eligibility is same for above and then they need some additional documents of semester marksheet, attendence sheet.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is equal 1:1. There is an Unity in Diversity and many workshops were conducted within the campus. All students are treated equally and are friendly to each other.Every day there have been conducting seminars and lecturers for various sessions.
Alumni/Alumna
I have interacted with my seniors for my forward step towards my placements and academic studies and also internships. There have been conducting many alumni intersection where they discuss about the academics and placements.
Admission
I got the admission through the Tamil Nadu counselling process where cut off marks are important.I got 192/200 cut off marks.So,I have chosen this college based on my cut off marks in mechanical stream. I like working of many automobiles,so I have chosen the mechanical engineering. This college is one of the best institution in India and ranked 56th position in NIRF rankings.This college has more placements so I have chosen this college.
Faculty
The number of lecturers in mechanical stream is 30 with an average age of 35-45 and average qualification of B.E,M.E.Many of our faculties have published their journals, research papers, and have attended many conferences and some of them got their patents.Total there are 7 patents in our college.
