Fee Structure And Facilities

As it was a govt. College, the fees of the courses was as per govt. Regulation, the fees were very reasonable. We have to pay the fees in the account section, the receipt of the fees was always given. The course fees for the poor students were reduced.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I have not opted for any scholarship or Education loan.

Campus Life

3.5

My campus life was very joyful. The Gender ratio was almost 1: 1. We always enjoyed our college days. Every year we were gone for an educational tour. Timely blood donation camps were organized in our college. The lab of the college was of average quality.

Admission

Merit list was published as per no score in H.S. At first I have bought a form. Then I filled up it and Submit it to the college. After that, the college has published a list of merit. Then counseling and admission happen in the month of May 2010.

Faculty

3

It was face-to-face mode and all teachers were very helpful. They all time done hard work to taught us. They always used simple sentences hence we can understand better. In practical classes, they help us to complete the experiments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
