Course Curriculum Overview
The course taughts you about more than 49 Subjects, having 8 semesters. The last two semesters including Educational tours and Implant training attachments. It provides you with a platform for both Joining Govt services after UG or pursuing Post Graduation and PhD. PhD is must for Research studies and Teaching. It shapes you to be a professional in your own field. It's a professional degree program. Also you are eligible for certain Govt. fisheries posts after graduation, like Fisheries Development Officer, Fisheries Extension Officer etc.
Placement Experience
Placement is generally in Govt Sectors in Bihar. Several private firms are also there, which come for campus selection. Usually 100% placement is seen, apart from the students opting for Post Graduation. Yes, Institution do take some steps like it has a placement cell training students for placement selection.
College Events
Organises Kisan Mela for betterment of farmers and their welfare. It also organises training programme for farmers, Farmers are trained for Aquaculture programs, Disease Management, Production etc. It also organises incubation programs for people interested in Fish Farming.
Fee Structure And Facilities
13000-15000 Semester. Mode of payment is digital. One time Admission fee is generally higher than semester fees, 1Year Medical Insurance is also provided. Yes College provides transparency in Fee Breakdown. Mess Fee is 2500/pm deposited in advance. Mess is managed by Students.
Fees and Financial Aid
UG Students coming out of the Bihar, receive National Talent Scholarship of Rs. 3000pm, provided their OGPA is greater than 7 for Gen and OBC and 6.5 for SC/ST. Students from Bihar receive scholarship of 2000 under Bihar Agricultural Roadmap.
Campus Life
Gender Ratio is approximately 1:2, (Male:Female) , Students come from all over the India, being a Central University. Diversity is very high. Usually students are open minded, but being at a remote place, some restrictions are there imposed by College. Students from every race and religious background live together in a harmony. No discrimination is there. Usually all students are Straight. Economic status varies.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, Hostel is newly renovated with all the basic facilities. Rooms and hostel is pretty clean. No PGs are available nearby. It is compulsory for students to reside in Hostel. Hostel is allotted to every student who is admitted to the course. There's no extra hostel fee.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, Alumni are very helpful. They're posted at different Govt. Posts and Research stations. They're very helpful in academics and also any other help.
Admission
You've to clear AIEEA UG conducted by ICAR at all India level and wait for the further councelling process. Your rank decides the college you get and subject you pursue. Usually Agricultural Studies requires highest marks for admission. Steps : -ICAR AIEEA UG Exam -Result -Councelling -Admission This course in particular has a great future ahead. Agricultural sector has been exploited as much as it could be, but there's a lot of potential in Fisheries in both Management and Research studies.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are new, some do lack some teaching experience but they are qualified enough. There are Senior and Junior scientists, which guides students in carrying research works and guidance. Lectures are taken in a smart classroom via a PowerPoint.
