Remarks
The college doesn't have a brilliant output as compared to the investment it takes. The management is doing great and they are doing their best for the students but still it isn't worth that much money.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was good. It had a lot of specializations to opt from in every semester, depending upon our interest we could choose our subjects. Most of the subjects had lab exams also so that we learn how things are implemented. Factory visits were not there for computer kids which should have been there but there were seminars from people who had great knowledge in this domain & they came to share their knowledge & experiences. For electrical & mechanical they used to organize factory visits quite frequently.
Placement Experience
Placements are good but only for computer students. About 90% of the computer engineering students get placed but about 30-40% of electrical/electronics/mechanical/civil students get placed because they do not have much companies for this stream. For IT they have Microsoft, Accenture, Dell, Philips, Sapient, TCS etc. The college asks students to attend placement mock drives where they teach aptitude/ soft skills etc for preparation. For any company there's always a written aptitude test followed by a coding test if required, then a technical interview followed by an HR interview. The university also helps students in getting internships by sharing links and mouth publicity.
College Events
There are and number of events celebrated there. Firstly they have freshers for all those who joined in that year then they have an annual cultural fest where they all celebrities to perform. They also have a sports fest and technical fest where people from different colleges gather to participate and make it a massive event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is extremely expensive. That's why it is not worth to go for this college. Secondly they are increasing the fee every year by almost 20-30k which is unreasonable. They accept DD, NEFT, Paytm & RTGS and avoid taking cash & check. There's no hidden fess rather than that they have scholarships for those in front of the merit list.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes the college offered scholarships to students. They made a merit list based on the 12th percentage and the ones who got the highest percentage in that particular branch was offered 1 lakh for that particular year.
Campus Life
The gender diversity is good but in engineering we get to see less number of girls as compared to other courses. The campus is lush green with beautiful infrastructure. There's so much cleanliness and beauty all around the campus. There were many extracurricular activities to engage in like dance club, English club, dramatics club, music club etc.
Hostel Facilities
I did not opt for a hostel as was a day scholar. But yes hostels are really nice they have twin sharing and single sharing rooms with attached washroom. Rooms are fully air conditioned with proper cleaning, hot water etc. The mess food is average but not worse. There are other rentals available nearby but they are not safe for girls. Hostel also has laundry facility, ironing etc. Enough safety is insured as students are not allowed to enter after 9 PM.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors were quite helpful and supportive. There were no such barriers between seniors and juniors as our college was anti-ragging. They used to help us with our projects, notes, previous year exam papers and many other things.
Admission
This university conducts an exam called MUOET. It is conducted twice so the best of two score is considered. Based on the score a merit list is generated & the branches are allotted accordingly based on our preferences. I was eligible for IT and later streams like electronics, mechanical etc. but I preferred IT because at that point of time IT was at boom and everyone recommended to go for it.
Faculty
We used to have approx 30 lectures a week of 1 hour each & 2-3 lab sessions of 2 hours each. The faculty was good and most of them were doctorates but they lacked the specified knowledge they were known for. The expectation from a PhD level faculty is much more than what they posses. They used to study from you-tube and teach the same examples in the class which we could also do sitting at home. There was only bookish knowledge that was taught in the class because that's only they had. Some of the faculties had industry exposure in their tenure so they were able to give a better reality check to the students but that number of faculty was quite low.
