A journey worth taking.

College Management is good. It doesn't feel that way when you are in college but when you yourself have to manage things on your own that you realise how good BIAS management have been. I wish them goodluck for future as well.

AIEEE i got state rank of around 1400, which was not that good but can still give you decent options among the good colleges of uttarakhand. Birla Institute of applied sciences became my natural choice due to tag name of birla it has. Also, at counselling we met alumni of college who told us that if you want grow yourself personally, you must choose this college.

Course curriculum is decided by uttarakhand technical university, so college doesn't have any say in it. But,curriculum is good and if one actually put efforts behind it to learn, things ahead get easier.

There was no provision of intenrship in UKTU so no experience to offer here but, within college CCNA can be done which actually is helpful once students pass out of college.

Placements have become good in recent years when we joined college in 2006, placement scenario was good and growing. But it got marred by recession in 2008-2009. Yet,even then students got placed in Accenture,Infosys, Birla Soft and Tech Mahindra. In 2010, placements took a dramatic turn for good and got chance in multiple companies like HCL, Infosys, TCS, Amdocs, Mahindra Satyam etc. BIAS is a place where we have enough free time to work on ourselves and groom oneself. This thing become important in placements.

SPECTRUM is the annual fest of college. It's a three day fest and have Cultural, Technical and Sports meet with neighbouring colleges. These three days are always worth remembering. No matter whether you participate in any event or not, this fest will always keep you busy with fun.

Fee structure is competitive and is much less than what other private college charge. Difference used to approx of 40%. Now, fees has increased in college as well so not sure about the difference but still, overall, very much affordable.

No loan facility is given by college itself but there is a Nainital Bank branch nearby where students can open bank accounts if required. Scholarships are given to top 5 students as per their rankings in first year. Student who top their respective classes are given scholarships by university.

Campus life is as good as it can be with all required facilities within the campus. Though, can't be compared with bigger and expensive private colleges yet college have enough space for all. Anything that you want to do id present and it depends on you, as how you use it.

In fist year, room is shared by 3 students each person will have their own almirah and decent space. In second year, 2 students share the room and from third year, single rooms are alloted to students. Hostel rooms and facilities are good. Bhimtal is hilly area so winters are very cold and that causes electricity shortages but that's one problem in all india. Mess was common for all and was a cheap yet good place to eat. Charges taken were very nominal at the beginning of semester and food variety and quality was both good.

College seniors and alumni are very supportive and will always guide you in need. Alumni of college is placed at high positions in various MNC's all over the world. College administration have also started the process to connect to alumni so as to maintain a good relationship with them.

There are three sessional tests in every semester. Two are mandatory and third is optional just in case if you have not scored too well in first too. Labs are frequent and a minimum attendance is compulsary. Overall, plenty of free time is still available to do whatever you want.

Faculty was good director sir was a ex-dean of IIT Roorkee(Former Roorkee University) and really knowledgeable person. No queries can go unanswered in subjects he teach. Rest of the faculty and management was good and a experienced lot. Most of them were either a part of IIT Roorkee or BIT Mesra, Ranchi. Guest faculties fro IIT Roorkee and BIT Mesra was common.
