Course Curriculum Overview

It's a 4 year course, we have seperate theory and practical classes, 2 semester are there for a year, totally 8 semester are present. In 4th year we have only practicals. And also in 4th year we have RAWAP program that gives us direct interaction with farmers

Placement Experience

Our course was related to agriculture. So companies of Fertilizers and also seed companies and also oil palm industry

College Events

Sports meet, cultural programmes NSS programs, Vinayaka chaturthi, College day function, Educational tours. Sports meet will be conducted with 8 colleges will participate. We will celebrate January 1st, Krishnashtami, Christmas and some other festivals

Fee Structure And Facilities

Per year there will be 2 semesters. And the fee is mainly based on the guidelines of the Dr.YSR Horticulture University. Payment method is cash payment. No facility of online transaction. No they don't charge any extra fee to secure admission in the college. Yes they will maintain transparency.

Fees and Financial Aid

State Government will provide scholarship. Eligibility criteria is Parents annual income. They will provide the college fee that we are paying.

Campus Life

In our college there will 70:30 ratio of Girls and boys. Extracurricular activities like volleyball cricket kabbadi and some athletics. No such parties will be held. No racism will present. No discrimination will be there based on gender, race, religion and politics are present

Hostel Facilities

There is college attached hostel for us. Hostel room are common rooms there will be 8 members per each room. In our college maximum students will stay in hostel. As number of admissions are there that much hostel seats will be there

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Good interaction with the seniors.They are helpful in studies and also in search of jobs and also in personal life

Admission

I like the course very much, i am very interested in dealing with plants. Got admission through State Eamcet exam, Good college and faculty, To get admission should get good marks in the entrance exam and counselling will be conducted for the admission

There are nearly 12 teaching faculty in our college. Some of them are Doctorates and some of them are Msc Gold medalists and they are a minimum age of 28 and a maximum age of 50. All of them have a good practical knowledge. And all of them are well experienced.

A small nickel of knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Curriculum is very vast and i hope it is filtered. But the new admission hqs got a very new curriculym with more in person experience courses, which is better in my opinion. I do wish that some courses are changed or added to ours too including AI as it is of rising inpprtance in all sectors.The schedule is very hectic so it could be tweaked a bit to accomadate some relax time for the students.Other than that i belive that the scheduling and curriculum is good. The frequency of examination is okay...but the mark system is very complex. So good marks has to acheieved in almost all the semesters so that a good OGPA can be recueved.

My opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

All india tour is a main factor for choosing this course. There are two compulsory course tours of total 40 days (South and North india tour in 2:1 split). We get to see Jammu Rajasthan Himachal Delhi Agra Punjab uttarakhand during North india tour.we are waiting for the South India trip.This course provides quality education on agriculture.We have internals and semester exams .1 sem is six months long.

Remarks:

I wanted to serve the lower levels of the society, also I wanted to a job easily. So I took the course. This college was the best in Kerala, within the university compound. So it is easy for many purposes.

Remarks:

Unscientific increase in the number of seats in the college is a problem here.There is no increase in the facilities required with the increase in seats.This creates problems as there is no adequate lab facilities and hostel facilities for the increased number.

Remarks:

mostly negative but little positive postiveness is that college consists the lasrge indoor stadium and teacher are humble with students negative there no fixed scheduled of the exams

The admission was through Neet . I had hoped to be a doctor. But as the marks wasn't sufficient, I chose agriculture. I only applied for two colleges, this one and College of Agriculture in Vellayni, Trivandrum. I hoped and did chose this college as it is in my hometown so i would'nt have to stay in hostel. It is also the best college for this course in Kerala. The Arts of Kerala Agricultural University is held here. And the landscape is beautiful and vast which also provides enough resources and infrastructure for this course. Students can also get admission through ICAR examination. The cut off changes for each reservation and each year according to the number of students and also the highest marks....Read More

Love your profession and your college

The eligibility of the course is plus two science stream and also there is separate reservation for the students from VHSC.The admission process of Bsc (hons) Agriculture is through NEET and CUET exam. 15 percent of the total seat is of ICAR quata and is filled through ICAR CUET exam and Remaining 75 percent is of state seat and is filled based on the NEET exam rank.There is separate reservation for ST, SC, LC, EWS, OBC students. The NEET and CUET entrance exam for this course is held once in every year during the month of May- june. The exam is of Easy to medium difficulty level and the questions are purely from NCERT testbook. There are 180 multiple choice questions for NEET exam, of which 90 from Biology stream, 45 from physics and remaining 45 from chemistry. Four mark is awarded for each correct answer and one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.The allotment process is started from November - December onwards.It is a 4 year residential course....Read More
