Remarks

Placement cell was weak during my course period. But I came to know that it has got better.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

This college has syllabus under CUSAT university, one of the best in South India. Provides a well structured study pattern that is industry oriented as well as targetted on social wellbeing of students. Trainnings are being provided for campus placements that includes personal development and communication improvement programs. Industrial visits were allowed by the college authorities, but the students themselves has to take volunteership and conduct the Industrial Visit.

Placement Experience

2

Infosys, TCS, QUEST, E&Y etc. Most of them had first round of aptitude, then a group discussion session and then followed by the HR interview round. During my course period the percentage of campus placed students was about 30%. But I have heard that this figures has been increased during the following years. Students were given placement orientation training programs for preparing for the placement season

College Events

4

There are several fests conducted in the college purely by the college, or purely by the students or by hand in hand. Technical fests shows the latest technical trends and advancements in the industry. Also cultural fests are conducted to showcase the talents beholded by the students of the college. The college gets good participation from students of various colleges in the state.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since I was merit candidate, the fee structure was as decided by the state government for private Engineering colleges in Kerala. The fees was Rs 38700 per year. Cash or check was accepted. No additional amount was asked from me as being a merit listed candidate.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about the scholarship opportunities offered by the college to the students. So I dont know about any of them

Campus Life

4

Campus life was awesome. College had almost equal gender ratios. There were many workshops, cultural and cultural events conducted by the college. There was no biasing based on gender, ethnicity, race or religion in the college. Also no politics was present inside the institute.

Hostel Facilities

3

Since I was a day scholar I was not willing to go to college hostel. My home was only about 1 and half hours drive from college. My friends tells that hostels are of average standards. It was inside college premises.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Association carries out getogethers for previously passed out students and this helps to get in touch with those who got industrial exposures and also having knowledge of the latest trends in the industry

Admission

I opted for this course as I came to know that it gives best placement at that time period. I got good ranks in the state engineering entrance exam. So i got admission to this college in the merit list. My friends also given good review about this college.

Faculty

3.5

There were totally about 30 faculties for my course, the average age being about 40-45. Most of them had highest qualification of M Tech. The faculty members had good understanding of what is being taught in the college. No one had any reluctance in clarifying any doubts that is being raised by the students. The industry experience and certifications of the lecturers are unknown to me.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
