Remarks
I have a mixed response about our college but overall I like our college and it is one of the best agricultural university in the state and we are also provided with the very good faculties and they are also very well trained
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curricullum is very much academic. There are 8 semesters of 6 months each and a total of 4 years for the degree course. We have a mid sem examination in the mid of the semester and a semester exam at the end. The practice were quite interesting all associated with the field work
Placement Experience
Almost all the top companies like tcs Wipro Accenture Capgemini Infosys and other have always been hiring students in bulk. Each company had a specific eligibility criteria based on which aptitude test were conducted followed by technical and hr interview.
College Events
illiad- our cultural programme kaizen IEEE Programme Campus life is good as far as we get a long week or some holidays, the rest days we will have to do with the sheets and models. Still we have good freedom in the classroom and studios unlike the engineering students. We are allowed to use the mobiles during the class hrs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is quite a bit high as compared to other agricultural universities in other states but we have a good infrastructure to support the charges and recently the private secretary of the CM of Odisha confirmed OUAT to be the State of Excellency
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides merit scholarship to the meritorious students who have higher ranks in the entrance examination and it also provides state scholarship like prerana and other scholarships like e-medhabruti also
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are quite good in the college. The student Union performs or organises the annual dramatic and athletic and the athletic function in their respective months. The cultural events give equal scope to students of each and evey religion or caste irrespective of their background.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure is quite a bit on the lower side as compared to the university. The hostel facility need to be well developed as compared to other agricultural universities in the state. The hostel must be supplied with better living facilities and the hostel should be cleaned properly
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are very much helpful in the university and the alumni are also wells settled. The Union body also organised the annual alumini meet every year to increase the interactive nature between the seniors and the juniors.
Admission
I qualified for the OUAT entrance examination which was held every year by the university and I chose to join Bsc Forestry as I was interested to pursue higher studies in Environmental Science aa well
Faculty
We have a very good faculty in our college and all of them are designated associate, assistant profeesors and Profeesors as well. Some of he teachers are of Forestry background also that means they have completed their higher studies in Foretsry
