Remarks

Not much to review. It was a good College but too many racist teachers/lecturers and students.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Not updated and full of useless subjects. The subjects are overall based on the theory and history of the topic at hand. The programming languages (java, c, c++) learnt are very basic and doesn't have the latest knowledge useful for today's programming courses.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement is good. Many companies come to campus for recruitment and gave test and interview. However, it's mostly based on theory knowledge and not on practical knowledge.

College Events

3

Technical, cultural fests and some religious and national event. There's pongal festival at the month of January which lasts for about a week, then followed by events like technical fests, cultural fests and educational fests. The most looked forward event is the techfest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are very feasible. Specially because it is a government institution and the fees are partly paid by the government. However, the hostel fees and mess fees are increasing at an alarming rate due to the inflation. Apart from mess fees, there are not much expenditure to be born.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. I've availed scholarship from my home state's scholarship board. We receive an average of 28000 per year.

Campus Life

2.5

There are lots of available outdoor sports and not much indoor sport. There are table tennis, badminton as indoor sport while there are many outdoor sports like football, cricket, ball tennis, tennis, kho kho etc. There is also a gymnasium available within the campus.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Yes, the hostels are separated into two types depending on gender. For boys, the hostels are separated into different building based on the year they are currently studying. This prevents the possibility of ragging inside the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Not very helpful nor informative. As we are from a different state, the alumni for the college itself doesn't include us very much in their activity.

Admission

Quota reservation. The state of Mizoram have reservation on different college inside the country and this is one of them. The reservation is due to the majority of the population being of a scheduled tribe. The cut off marks for reserved seats are lower than those appearing from a general community.

Faculty

3

Most don't understand the subject but got master's or doctorate in the subject. It can be understood that the lecturers are mostly just depending on the guide book or text books provided for the course and if there's an error or mistake in the program there, they wouldn't even be able to fix even the simplest error.
