Entrance Preview

GATE with self preparation. Attained 93.8 percentile. Later we understand we could have prepared still more and get more.

Course Curriculum Overview

Really it is fine. We enjoyed Electrical, Electronics, Civil and Computer science lab along with Mech lab.Mechanical covers all area whenc comparing other courses.

Internships Opportunities

During that internship is very less.Some only got such benifits .Amount varied between 6k to 10 K.Normally these internship came via private org for good performers and their family income is low.

Placement Experience

Placement was very low during that period. For Mechanical Only TVS electronics vististed and selected 2 among the 42. For that 2 itself, there is is 2 -3 different interviews at different places.

Year starting Welcome to Juniors took placeNext Seminar between colleges took place. Then NCC Nss camps. Inter college sport competiotionInter college Dance competetionCollege Cultural festival.

Fees and Financial Aid

Normally Government scholar ship helped the student a lot.Few got the loan from bank via college route. Management and Adminstration are very helpful in getting the same

Placement Experience:

After 6 semester the students are eligible for all the core and it placements. For us the core companies are Capgemini tech pub(32), sopra steria(5) and boeing . The highest package is 8lpa and average is 5 lpa Out of 100 55 students are getting placed each year. I got placement in Capgemini and I am working on Capgemini.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.
