Remarks

The college follows the syllabus as suggested by the university and hence practical approach towards particular subjects are very limited as laboratory experiments are shared by a group

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It covers almost all aspects of engineering basically Civil Mechanical and Electrical. The laboratory gives a little exposure to the industry and all subjects are theoretical. The final year project is a research oriented tool that brings the best out of students.

Placement Experience

2

Placement cell was introduced during the year 2016 and we had a chance to attend placement drives conducted by Acumen Global and Cognizant which are job consultants

College Events

2.5

Technical fests and cultural fests are conducted every year and falls on the end of march. Mexsvente and Mexride were two technical events in the college incorporating various organisations and school campuses to exhibit their ideas. Aura was the name of the cultural festival.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees amounted to 65000INR per year but is now halved also students get scholarships provided by the government. Fees payment can be paid through Demand Draft or Cheque. A structured fee format will be provided at the time of admission and assistance to avail bank loans are also provided by the college

Fees and Financial Aid

I had availed an educational loan and the college had provided assistance in availing the loan which incuded the fees for books also.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was very interactive and there was no discrimination based on gender and all ratios were accepted as admission are provided based on exam scores and not on gender which is quite transparent. The college doesn’t promote any kind of political activity within the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a WhatsApp group maintained by the alumini and provides continuous support in terms of placement as well as career related guidance.

Admission

Admission procedures was through an exam conducted by the university of kerala. I had a passion towards mechanical engineering and opted for the course. There was an allotment procedure and weightage was given to the marks scored in the entrance exam and 12th grade. At the time of admission we had to pay the fees and confirm our seats also we had to submit all previous academic certificates. I was admitted on the 6th of July 2013.

Faculty

4

There are almost 52 subjects covered in a period of 4 years and taught by competent staff who should have a mandate qualification for teaching. All subjects are taught relative to real life scenarios and the professors are very well qualified to deal with the subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
