Review on Sreenidhi institute of science and technology

On a whole it's a good college which can be amongst the top 10 private colleges in Hyderabad. But a lot of improvements are required in terms of infrastructure, providing time for sports and extracurricular activities, giving less preference to attendance, a few changes in teaching learning process, hectic schedules, and mainly the canteen food and environment. Apart from that it's a decent college

The course offered by the institution is not very good. It's not be either. This institution focuses on attendance than any other institute. So, the student needs to be in the class room for atleast 65% of the entire classes held in a semester to qualify/promote to the next semester. If the attendance is between 65 to 75 one needs to pay condonation of Rs:500. Talking about the exams, they're quite hectic because this institution conducts mid examinations for 3 or 4 continuous days in a row(2 exams a day). Almost all labs here are well equipped except a few.

More than 25 companies visit during campus placements. This institution doesn't provide internship to everyone. As I'm still in 2nd year I haven't done my internship yet. But some faculty provide a guidance about the internships.

There are quite a few big events in this institution. These are the list which we conduct once an year. 1. Adastra 2. Sreevision 3. Rigolade These events consists of many tech events and non take events. They usually are big events of 3 days extending to 1 week. Sport fests and workshops are also conducted during these events.

The fee is high compared to other top colleges in Hyderabad. Tution fee is 1.4Lakh per annum(2 semesters) Now due to the protests made by students and parents they're going to reduce then fee to 1Lakh from next year. Above this there is library and sap fee of Rs 38, 000 for four years.

There is a scholarship facility given by the government for EPP(economically poor persons) Talking about the loans, education loan can be taken from any bank. There are no other scholarships available in this institution as much as I know.

No interest or motivation is provided by the college to students in terms of sports. Out of hectic 39 classes a week not even a single class allocated to sports or extra curricular activities. One needs to bunk the classes to participate in sports or extra curricular activities with the fear of reduction in attendance. There are many tech and non tech clubs in the college. No politics, gender discrimination, racism is shown in this institution.

Good structure, It provides a variety of hostels like ac and non AC with 2 sharing, 3 sharing or 4 sharing with common and attached bathroom facilities. It also has space for indoor games like table tennis and many other facilities.

Till now we haven't met or had a chat with our alumni. But the institution is ready to share the contact numbers of the aluminis. But no interaction session was provided with aluminis till date. But the institution claims that the syllabus is prepared according to the feedback given by the alumini's based on industrial requirement.

The intake is based on eamcet exam/ JEE score. There is an option of getting into this institution by management that is by paying money. I chose ECE as I like electronics over other courses offered. I got into the college as a management student as I didn't get expected marks in my eamcet and mains.

The institution claims that most of the faculty in this institution are graduates and post graduates. Yes, the faculty here are very good and are always active to clarify doubts at every instance. There are few who're arrogant.
