Remarks

The past two years or so have produced perhaps the most rapid changes ever seen in higher education. The “completion agenda” set forth by President Obama and the Lumina Foundation has enabled institutions to focus on the graduation of all students, rather than only those who enter as part of a specific first-time full-time freshman cohort. Concurrently, the introduction of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) has generated a substantially increased focus on the potential for degree completion through an online environment. These changes have also generated a significant amount of competitive recruiting, marketing and advertising in efforts to enroll mostly non-traditional (older, returning adult) students, the consumers of higher education. With these changes and opportunities come a number of conditions that can facilitate one’s degree completion along with others that might, in fact, impede it. Some of the most significant of these factors affecting these conditions

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This course is very much perfect to get placed in energy sectors like ONGC, CIL, OIL, CAIRN, SCHLUMBERGER etc. And for GSI also. Extremely dedicated teachers are there. Core Geophysics is being taught here in very details. This is 3 years course. So students here can learn many more than the other institute's Geophysics course.

Placement Experience

4

In Geophysics, placements is quite good. In my time ONGC came and recruited 9 students. OIL, CIL also came. CAIRN and SCHLUMBERGER also use to come there. Course is job oriented mainly. you can get a huge chance to crack GSI and BARC also. They provide very good internships also in ONGC, OIL, CAIRN, NGRI, IIRS etc

College Events

5

When you are entering college life after your high school, it means you are entering in a new world. It’s also a first step towards the future, career and upcoming opportunities. College life means new friends, attending lectures and making lots of memories. Sometimes, people mass bunk classes to participate in a movie or to hang out with friends. All these processes are part of growing up, a part of entering the adult phase of life, a part of life where you take the first step towards decision making. Apart from studying in college, college days are also fun during the college fest, where you explore the new sides of you and make new friends from other faculties, get to know each other, relax from long lectures. The college fest is usually of three to four days with several events by the students themselves. Sometimes, celebrities and the well-known band also perform on the final day of the event make it more memorable.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. You can get loan also. Averagely semester fee is 20000. Mess fee for one year is 60000. So 1 lakh you have to spend in one year. You can get loan easily from SBI. But as getting job has higher chance than other institutes, that much you can afford here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes of course. Merit cum scholarship you can get. Loan can be availed easily from SBI. As I was getting inspire scholarship that is why I was not eligible for merit cum. This scholarship is given on the basis of GPA.

Campus Life

4.5

Not available on my payment for the interview and I will pay for it but it just doesn't show the team and get back with you can study for this clue what to get you for Christmas but I don't think I will pay you with all my

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels were average. Rooms are small. but bathrooms, lobby are well maintained. Large cycle parking area. Hostel committee always look onto the food quality of hostels. You can be a part of mess committee and manage food items to be delivered.

Alumni/Alumna

Extremely strong network. Senior-junior relatioy is very vital in this institute. This helps you to build yourself perfectly for job or research. Seniors are very helpful towards new comers. This is the culture here. After getting pass out also we have strong connection.

Admission

I was admitted through separate entrance exam for Applied Geophysics. Only 44 seats were there. Nowadays through JAM they are recruiting for this course. This course has a huge chance to get placed in energy sectors, that's why I choose. Now I am working in ONGC

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is nothing specific about choosing it , it's just my interest on that particular subject for which I am there .we get proper notes and tips for our exams and also some life lesson . There is only thing which I find irritating and that's the gap between the exams like seriously how can expect from us to prepare 4 subject in just 2 to 3 months

The curriculum they provide is good enough to choose this course. And the ability of lab , and botanical garden influenced us. I would like to suggest that they should increase the number of faculty members, professor for better and smooth running of course. And also , they should give a chance to fresher as a assistant, associate professor

Placement Experience:

From last semester students because eligible for campus placement selection, there are many companies like to visit our college such as Wipro, Tata, TCS, Prabhat khabar, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, etv news, reliance, big bazaar and many more renowned companies. Usually companies offer a contract of minimum 5 to 7 lacs per annum for starting year. 50% students get placement here, because as I told you that there first year package is poor and the companies want us to sign a contract that we will never leave the company for at least 3 years which is not good in my opinion because everyone wants to explore different possibilities. I'm one of those 50% who didn't got the job, after getting the job my plan is simple I'll try to prepare for government job for 5 years if not succeed I'll do my family business.

Good college. Keep in mind that not every degree can be completed in four years. Some STEM fields, for example, might have industry or internship experiences that require an extra year for students to complete, and other colleges have a large number of working students who may need extra time to balance academics with jobs.
