My College Review

I am alumni of KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM). The school is unique in many fronts, of which the important USP is its three field-based internships. These internships gave us better exposure to the rural sector and helped us to learn by doing.

KSRM'S knowledge-building programs including guest lecture series, national conclave, and extra curricular facilitities which facilitate our improvemnts in both professional and personal frounts. Apart from this the course curriculum is higly diverse and dynamic based on the industry demand. Faculties of the school are higly experinced friendly and were always available to us whenever and wherever needed.

There were in total three internship provided during the course curriculum where. The first being ARS (Action Research Segment) which provide exposure to us regarding the rural context. The second being CSS (Case Study Segment) which focuses on understanding the problem with why and how context. The third and the last being the MTS (Management Traineeship Segment) which focused on managerial decision making. The selection criteria is very transparent and based on interest of students.

It's a place that brings the best in life. It provides opportunity and spaces to focus on each student's strengths and interest areas. KSRM's student-teacher engagements for all-round professional improvement and staff members' on-time support for making life easy is commendable with regards to placement, the interesting part is that almost one-third of students get Pre-Placement Offer during the internship period itself.

The academic ambaince of the school continues to be excellent with the well-equipped campus, infrastructure and student-friendly experinced faculty members. The key highlight for me were the mentor-mentee relationship, which facilitate me to groom myself.

MBA (RM) is a fully residencial course and thus hostel is compulsory and it is included in the course fee one need not to pay anything more than that. Hostel is cleaned on a daily basis and have 24*7*365 days electricity and internet access.

I had given the GD and PI at KSRM, though the school conducts GD and PI at different loaction in different states. There were around 10-12 students in each group we were given a case and based on the case GD was done. After qualifying for GD round slected students were gone under PI round, then the list of final slected students were given within few days.
