Remarks

College management is not that great. This is a govt college and now you can imagine all the delays and irregular working hours.

Entrance Preview

I took IIT JEE, AIEEE and MPPET. Secured some EML rank in JEE with a score of 220 and cutoff was 229. A big margin failure in AIEEE with a score of 164 and MPPET - 134. I wanted to opt for subject related to Phyics and Maths. Electrical Engineering have application of these two to great extent. I would have opted Mechanical but due to cut off score I was alloted Electrical and started my journey without any regret. This is really a good branch for PSUs job which was my dream at the admission time.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It is really good because Institute update the syllabus with the changing trends in engineering. I realized this in my final year when some core subjects were the part of syllabus. As an example HVDC and FACTs, Reliability Engineering, Non Linear Control system were really great.

Internships Opportunities

It depends on the will of the individual, college just provides a formal letter of permission so that you can get recognized that you belong to this institute. After that you are on your own. Contact sources related to your intended or anything that can help you to get in the system. Now companies have started to come for training but they are not sufficient.

Placement Experience

3.5

Its good as compared to regional colleges.Placements were decents in my batch, firms that came for recruitment includes Mahindra Rise ( Came this year only, not sure for subsequent years), MAN Trucks Pithampur Plant ( 1), Jindal Steel(13), Sterlite technologies(2), Asian Paints(1), Wells Fargo ( 2 ), other IT bulk recruiters that covered almost all the batchmates. Package range from 6-3.5 lpa. If you are really good at your academics, quant, english then you are chances to get a 8-10 lpa.

College Events

4

Every year a cultural fest Aayaam is celebrated which includes some cultural events, but these are not even close to some good fest at IITs. Things are improving but it still needs some time. Corruption, politics is the backbone of cultural fest. Gang wars and politics are rampant these days. Students don't have any freedom to organize things according to their way.Lots of paper formalities and permission exacerbate the matter.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is really cheap. I completed my engineering in 1.25 lakhs this is the case when I am a general category student. If you consider fee amount for category candidates then overall tution fees come down to 90k-1l. They also started the online fee payment portal but it is not efficient and students really make a joke of it.

Fees and Financial Aid

I completed my education using Education Loan and I should say loan facility options are not much. There is a campus branch of OBC and they handle all the accounts of college so there is less difficulty to avail loan from there. Scholarships schemes are informed to students but you have to be careful about deadlines.

Campus Life

3.5

There is a robotics club and students are really very active in that group. They collect a good amount of sponsorship for their events and it is good to see these hardworking guys. Apart from this there is literary club ingenious, a failed band, and a Super Art Club.

Hostel Facilities

3

I never stayed in hostel but according to my friends things are not that good but the boys can make the jugaad from anything. Internet is good sometime. Food is decent. But infra needs to be developed. College was recently received a grant, I think it will improve.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Network is not good. During these years I only heard of only one eminent personality D.B. Phatak. ( Padmi Shri awardee).

Exam Structure

A considerable weightage is given to Previous year questions. So there will be less surprise for many subjects excepts for those which are introduced recently or faculty has been changed. Practicals are joke, everyone is pass if you dont screw things from your end like engaging in college fights, low attendance and animosity with faculty.

Faculty

3.5

Senior Faculties are really good in any branch, but junior faculties are really bad. There is considerable time gap when students are introduced with senior faculties to teach any subject, and by that time junior faculties have already done the damage in building basic concepts.

No negetive remarks about our college. Placements and companies visited at Jawaharlal Institute of Technology, [JIT] Khargone. The Institute has a separate cell for training & placement that cares for the industrial exposure & placement of students. They have the intensive classes for communication skills, personality development and group discussion that makes them to lead in the competitive world.
