Entrance Preview

PET entrance, rank 347, I chose because that is the best college in M.P. for placements through PET entrance.

Course Curriculum Overview

Overall good, first year was about all the subjects and from second year it was specific to my stream. There are some topics which are obsolete like very old micro processor and all.Overall it was good.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't attended internship so don't have any idea about internship.So I can't comment on how internship was and how much was the stipend my college gave for the interns.

Placement Experience

Placement is awesome.Very happy with the placement opportunities. Almost all the students were placed who were satisfying the minimum criteria.

College Events

Every year they use to conduct tech fests and many activities were included in that like some games, coding tests, sports and fun events.And robotics competition, and similar kind of knowledge transferring seminars and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible around 29k every year. But there were concessions for reserved categories. And scholarships for meritorious students.So fee was feasible I feel.

Fees and Financial Aid

Very few scholarship were there based on merit list. So I was not able to avail any.may b 2 student per stream used to get scholarships.

Exam Structure

It was a autonomous College. So there wil be 2 mid sems and 1. Main semester exam in each sems and exam papers were moderately difficult and very lengthy.

Faculty

Faculty was supportive. But there were few contract faculties who lack subject knowledge . But majority faculties are very nice and helping.So overall it is good.

LIFE IN MITS-DU

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to get placed and many companies visits every year for placement and approx 60-70% students gets placement every year.As per my knowledge there is no company which has made no offer.Average package is about 6-7 lakhs per annum.My plan is to take good package from on campus placement drive.If I am unable to get this then I will try for off campus placement and I also want to do MTECH after graduating.

Placement Experience:

Campus Pl start from the 7th semester with good companies visiting for core branches popular recruiters are tafe eichers, CG power, Disa. Cognizant and Infosys for the IT roles also. The average package is up to the 6 LPA. After completing my degree I am planning To join a good company of the mechanical branch which helps me in building my career in the core engineering field.

For internship from college students are applicable after 3rd year and on 7th semester they are applying for placements. Many companies like wipro,TCS,Infosys, Amazon,Flipkart, Deloitte , Google and many more visit in Medicaps. Average package is 5-6 lpa and highest package is 20-25 lpa. The ratio of students getting placements is 50-60 %. the placements actually depends on skills of student. student who lack confidence and speaking skills can actually fail in this.Placements depends on course to course

The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed.
