Course Curriculum Overview

Computer science is the most interesting and one of the top leading course in the present era. As our lectures tell there are plenty of topics available for research. Exams are quite cool which is conducted by VTU. The timing, patterns are student friendly. Labs are really good, we don't feel so frustrated with our department labs.

Placement Experience

There are placement opportunities but I am not sure about internships. These are the companies I heard which comes to our campus Capgemini Cognizant TCS Wipro Infosys HP And many more. Most of my seniors have got placed in these companies

College Events

We celebrate onam,kannada rajyothsava, Independence Day,republic day, They also conduct calypso which is a inter department fest. They also conduct many technical tests which are mainly student oriented.

Admission

I was keen about learning artificial intelligence and machine learning, this was the main motive to choose the course. Admission process is like this Once the seat allotment is done by KCET, we need to approach college at the mentioned date. Then submit Marks card, allotment letter originals, get acknowledgement for the submitted documents. Fill the college form in their lab. Pay the fees.

Faculty

They are good, friendly, cooperative. They are good in terms of teaching as well. They make the class environment friendly. They are helpful as well. Specially there are friendly lecturers in our department

The scene of placement is good here. Companies visit and offer on campus placement. College also train us for interview round . The highest package offered here last year was 51 lakh per annum. Average package is around 6 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Wipro, google, IBM, microsoft, cisco, tcs, infosys, tech Mahindra,...etc 180+ company will offer to our college. Wipro highest package is 78 lpa and lowest is 6lpa. 90% of students getting placed. I'll go for masters and then phd.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has the necessary subjects of the branch...It is constantly updated every year to adhere to relevancy and comphrehensiveness of the course..My department of AIML teaches us the necessary computer subjects such as Nature Inspired computing, Deep learning etc and also the Maths and Stats whch is required for machine learning is though too ( Like Maths for machine learn and statistical modellign, inferential statistics, time series analysis etc)..These subjects also have lab components which help us prepare for real-world applications. But some of the older subjects on the other hand which might be core computer science or in first year..common subjects like CAED and others are not required and outdated. The frequency and timings of exams is moderate..neither good nor bad

My Real Experience as a First Year DSAI Student at IIIT Dharwad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Though i needed cse with cybersecurity but i didnt get it so i went with Robotics and ai. In first year they have many subjects of all course which are basic and fundamentals of all branches Some are good in real world application They should add more practical stuff then theories We have 1 to 1½ month gap betwen internals and some 10 days gap between 2nd internal and sem difficult level varies every year

Honestly, I chose this college as this had less fees and was affordable than other colleges that I applied to. Additionally, I had heard that placements were pretty good here.
