Mohit Seth's Review On KIIT School Of Law - [KSOL], Bhubaneswar

I appeared for KIIT-E. Enternace exam of the university for the course in Law. I got a rank of 69 post which was I got an admission in the college.

Course curriculum is beautifully made from the first to the fifth year. Introducing the basics in the first two year of course and then introducing the main ones after establishing the stepping stones. We are made to read constitution, IPC contract law jurisprudence, legal method and other subjects which give us an insight as to how to read the law thus helping us in choosing our honors subject in the third year.

College gets us internships mainly from the third year most of us also get the very same from outside too. And stipend varides from 5000-10000 depending on those internships which provide with a stipend.

Place and job opportunities depends entirely on your caliber. Law firms, companies, LPO, KPO these are the mailt targeted place but many try their luck for PPO at placed where they have interned before.

College events are plenty. Starting from an annual moot court competition and debate competition. Then we have annual sports fest. Then we have our college fest every year which the 4th year organizes.

The fee structure is a little steep with every student paying around 2.5 lakhs per annum but the library and the facilities provided are more than enough for a person who is capable of the very same.

The college provides a scholarship of rs12000 to the student who tops the batch every year. Also loans are provided by the banks associated with college at reasonable rate.

The hostels are different for boys and girls. Each room has 2 persons. The mess is included in the hostel fee. There are Pgs nearby which are affordable staring from 5000. The hostel fee is 60000 per annum.

The exam structure is very simple. We have a 30 marks alloted for mid semesters. 20 marks are alloted for presentations and 50 marks for the end semesters.

The faculty is a mix and match, few are exceptionally good in their own field and others are decent too but it's the aura of teaching which they lack. What to teach and how to teach are two very important aspect of a teacher's life.
