Course Curriculum Overview
KIIT School of Law is best to many in Orissa and I have always admired the way they teach law students. One is to make them job ready and the other way is to empower them. Our academic system at KIIT school of law is empowering students as most students here today are high court lawyers and judges.
Placement Experience
Placements are as I told here is in empowerment. As some high court lawyers and small firms are the ones who hire students and with a basic salary. MoR students though who pass out from our college straightaway goes for Litigation.
Fees and Financial Aid
KIIT School of Law is a part of extensive campus of KIIT University. Law Faculty is as good as other departments of the college be it engineering or any department. Our university is little expensive though as for law it charges close to 4 lakhs a year. Total fees till I finish my law will be around 20 lakhs.
Campus Life
Our campus is a city as there are 20 colleges inside the campus and each one have their own sector kind of thing. As our Law School beheada a law garden, our own library and cafes even though common are mostly occupied by students of our college. A three day KIIT Fest which is one of the largest fest not just in Orissa but in India is witnessed by various celebrities and politicians as well.
Admission
NLU was definitely the one which I was targetting but seats are in few thousand and aspirant are in lakhs so obviously everyone can't have that piece. However, I have no complaints as KIIT School of Law admission are also based on CLAT Scores and it's not as if anyone can simply come and apply and get admissions.
Faculty
Well versed and well behaved these two qualities in faculties are more than enough as I don't think I should be asking for more. Now if I have to name one I dislike and one I like it will be Purohit Sir whom I dislike and Vivek Nag whom I like the most considering that they aren't just sweet but quite good with handling situations.
Interview Experience
It's more like a current topic and because we are pursuing law so a law case study is asked. Normal acts of law are asked in interviews like which sections for which crime and this was it. This was more like a confidence built up exercise.
Night Life
Our campus as I said itself is a city because of the area it is spread in. So once when we are inside we can roam from one campus to the other and have all the things be if extravagant cafes or gyms and library. Hostel timings is 8 pm for girls and 9 pm for boys.
