Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is the standard curriculum as followed by Mysore University, same framework. Even the examinations are scheduled like the ones in Mysore university. We also have internal exams that will be taken into account for semester evaluation.

Placement Experience

4.5

Our Placement and training cell trains us well for the interview in areas like soft skills and aptitude test. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, TVS come here for recruitment, around 80 students get placed every time, the average package is 2.5 to 3 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is very feasible when compared to other colleges in the area. The fee is Rs 20,000 for B.SC, there are no hostels hence this is exclusive of the hostel fees. It can also be paid through educational loans or in instalments.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is not provided by the college directly but there are other government and private schemes to provide scholarship to underprivileged and meritorious students, namely Vidya Sarthi and Vidya Siri.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college supports sports in a great way, sports like kabaddi, badminton, volleyball and throwball are organized, other cultural events are also organized where we have many fun activities like dancing and music as well.

Alumni/Alumna

Luckily few of the alumni are still connected with themselves and with us too, they often conduct meetings to discuss about the future plans and projects, they help us in career and academics as well.

Admission

After my boards result I wanted pursue B.Sc hence I applied for this college, you can a get the application from the office, you have to pay the application fee in from of a demand draft as they accept cash. After applying you will be notified about the counselling date and timings.

Faculty

4.5

All our faculties are very friendly and well-qualified, they have abundant knowledge about the subject. They do not rush up with the portions at the last minute, they arrange their schedule accordingly and make time for clearing our doubts.

At St Aloysius University, students typically become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onward. Reputed companies like Infosys, wipro, TCS etc have visited the campus offering multiple roles in IT services, research and analytics. The highest package has been around 7-8 LPA while the average has been around 3-4 LPA depending on the company and the profile of the student. Around 60-70% of eligible students secure placement each year

REVA University, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Biotechnology)
Reviewed on Jul 4, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

Placement Experience:

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.

Remarks:

Positive remarks: • The senior, junior, classmates are very helpful and cooperative. • The professors are also very helpful and concerned about our studies. Negative remarks: The authority is not so helpful. They take many steps against the students' sake and this is the main cause for decreasing the college's overall performance.
