Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Along with Sanskrit, which is the main subject each semester, we also have four other subjects namely, mathematics, yoga, computer science and EVS. We have one semester exam at the end of each semester, totally 6 exams for the entire course. Regular classes happen from 8 AM to 5 PM, it is not hectic, we have plenty of time to relax.

Placement Experience

4

There are no placements as of now for the bachelor degree, but we can try outside for jobs as instructors and teachers, students get that easily. Internships are also not possible during the study time, as this is a central government college. In off-campus too many of our seniors have got placed with high salaries, some have government postings.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This college being a college under the central government has the lowest fee possible, anybody can pay this fee. It is just 900 per year and 2,000 for hostel and 1,500 for mess charges. Added to this there are scholarships to deserving students of Rs. 300-600.

Campus Life

4

We have a lot of extracurricular activities, we just don't keep studying all the time. We have zonal and national level sports competitions in which we won many times. We celebrate almost all the festivals celebrated in India like Holi, Diwali, Saraswati Pooja and many others.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I lived in the hostel as my hometown is very far away, I did not regret staying in the hostel at all, it is a great experience, we have these big spacious rooms, airy and well-ventilated. The food is provided in the hostel all three times of the day, it is very good as well.

Admission

I wanted to study Sanskrit as I have a great interest in it since my schooling, I appeared for the entrance exam that the college conducts only for the students wanting admission in this college, I cleared it and then I had an interview. The interview was not that complex I cleared it as well and got admission. The candidate applying for this college should have studied Sanskrit in his/her school as a subject, this is mandatory.

Faculty

4.5

All the staffs are very friendly, they teach us very well and are very informative, only some of them are very strict. Even then the classes go on regularly without any problem. All of the staffs are well trained and handle the classes in an interactive manner, it is never boring in their classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

Placement Experience:

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The curriculum was overall good and being a economics honours courses it was challenging at times. The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .
