Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our Institute follows the course curriculum and syllabus which is in line with the UGC defined guidelines for a program at bachelors level. The syllabus of the course covers various subdomains of History like the ancient, mediaeval and modern History in a comprehensive manner. A system of examination that is followed for the course is semester wise system. As a part of the system examinations are held twice in a year that is in total 6 semester examinations are held in the entire course duration.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements and jobs are something that our Institute fails at miserably. Placement and job guarantee is not there as it is normal government graduation institute which atmost provides you placement assistant but not a good placement offer. One has to strive on their own to get good placement. Internship is not a part of our course.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government institute fees is something that is quite manageable and feasible. For the entire duration of the program one has to pay under Rs 10, 000. The fees that has to be submitted at the start of each academic year is around Rs 3, 500.

Fees and Financial Aid

The West Bengal State Government provide scholarship to meritorious student based on fulfillment of certain criteria. Apart from that the government also provides scholarship to the needy students from the Chief minister's relief fund. In case one is not able to get the scholarship sanctioned than educational loan facility is extended by most of the commercial private and public sector banks.

Campus Life

3

Our college doesn't things to offer in terms of extra curricular activities. As students we indulge in activities like sports, craft etc on campus however there is are no clubs or dedicated societies for that in the college. In the name of events celebration Republic Day, International Women Day and Independence Day are celebrated. Take in consideration the classrooms, library, seminar hall, playground and other facilities I can say that the overall infrastructure of our college is fine.

Admission

Admission in our college are done based on shortlisting of candidates on fulfillment of the required cut-off for respective course. Cutoff is nothing but the percentage of marks obtained by the student at 10 + 2 level. Since I passed with distinction in 10 + 2, I easily got admission in the program of my choice. The reason for opting this college was that I was looking for a woman's only college and this being that college near to my residence so I opted for it.

Faculty

3.5

Putting my views considering the teaching methodology and student friendly approach I can say that professors in our college are good. They understand their respective discipline not in a mere academic sense but as a discipline they have to teach to the student by making understanding for them easier.

I want to know bengali literature and all type of poems and proses that's why I choose B.a. in bengali literature. According to me, my course helps me in doing Masters in Bengali. From the point of view of improvements, I feel that digital classes can be conducted in the class by leaving the theory classes. Mere collage The exam level is basically hard and exams are conducted twice a year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always wanted to persue English as a career. I love studying English but not a big fan of the new curriculum by NEP that includes a lot pf irrelevant papers. The semesters are not consistent. Odd semesters usually have a lot of time like 6-8 months but even semesters barely consist of 2-3 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.
