The course follows semester system and has a duration of 3 years. There course structure is very good and focuses on a lot of research and practicals. The days are generally very hectic and exams too are very tiring.

The Placement Cell and provides students with lots of opportunities. There are internships for the students and jobs too. Many firms come and recruit the meritorious students. They also arrange for guest lectures by professionals.

The fee structure of the college is around 2 lakh 30 thousand which is quiet expensive. However, they provide with very good education and facilities. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees can be afforded as per the education and facilities provided by the institution.

The college is excellent in its extracurricular activities. They enrich their students and focuses on overall development of the students. They have various sports activities like football, basketball . They also organize cultural functions like fest and fate in which many other institutions take part and students get abundant exposure.

The Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Advanced Maritime Studies and Research also known as LBS College of Advanced Maritime Studies and Research is a post-sea Maritime Education and Training Institute offering a range of courses for Merchant Navy Officers. To get admission, the student should give an entrance exam and based on their merit, they will be called for the admission.

The faculty of the institution is very good. They are well qualified and trained with a great experience. They have good command over their respective subjects. They also encourage students in every possible way and help them when they need.
