No negative remark about Chandigarh university. I really like the aura of this place and recommend to everyone.
Course Curriculum Overview
Chandigarh University provides excellent academics undoubtedly but it is a bit hectic because we have 3 hrs labs every day and every day we have to give viva with completed files. Also in a semester, we have 2 mst exam and per subject, we have 3 assignments, seminars, quiz, surprise test which includes in internals.
Placement Experience
As a Naac a+ approved university, placement is very good. Every year a lot of well-recognized pharma companies comes to our university. Almost every student are placed though the package for pharma student is comparatively low.
College Events
Chandigarh University is known for its big events. Every year a number of events are conducted where multiple colleges come from different states to take part. In other events like fests, a lot of popular celebrities comes here and a lot of DJ nights are also conducted which gives immense joy.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for a year is 1.6 lacs which according to me is a bit expensive. But the facilities and the quality of education provided to us quite balances it out. Also, there are many scholarships provided which compensate a few amounts. There is no additional charges that had to be paid in order to secure admission.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, I have opted for a single daughter child scholarship which gives 10% scholarship for students with 7.5 and above cgpa. Its also provides education loans though I haven't opted for it.
Campus Life
The campus is huge, green and clean. Have a lot of outdoor activities, affordable food stalls and a big sports Complex for the enthusiasts. We are loving the campus life. Infrastructure is also excellent. Also has a huge amount of extracurricular activities..
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is huge, consist of big corridors, balconies, indoor ground, gardens etc. It's on share basis. A room consists of 4 students but still spacious. Normally ac rooms are only for medical and international student. We have cooler and fans. The whole hostel is cleaned every day including rooms and washrooms. The hostel also has a common room, a parlour, a well-equipped gym and a silence zone study room.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is well maintained and strong. The seniors are helpful and also gives good advice. Approximately they are kind enough.
Admission
I have no idea about other courses but for B.Pharmacy was direct admission with 12th-grade marks. It provides both online and offline admission. The procedure we very simple. As a student from a different state, I opted for online admission which was Hassel free and very easy.
Faculty
Faculty are undoubtedly intelligence, knowledgeable and well experienced. Very friendly but strict in the classroom at the same time. They try their best in understanding and clearing the concept in the class through many presentations and also in their free time. Also, we have a mentor who not only helps in academic queries but also deals without personal problems, hostel etc.
