The college was established in 2010 by Mar Thoma church educational society. The patron is Dr. Joseph Mar thoma, Dr. Rajan varghese is the secretary. Mr.Mathew George is the treasurer. Joseph Mar Barnabas is the president.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.tech in civil, electronics and communication, mechanical, electrical and electronics, computer science and engineering are available. M.tech. in geo technical engineering is also available. Science and humanities subject is also available.

The placements of the college are not so good. Companied like congruent solutions, network Z systems, attined software, allianz, zewia software solutions visit the campus for recruitment. Most of the students prepare for competitive examinations.

Various days like sports day, yoga day, teacher's day are celebrated. There are clubs like biodiversity club. Yasya is the cultural fest. The college also has a magazine. Inter branch tournaments for badminton, cricket, football are held.

I got admission in this college through management quota. The admission process is smooth. One has to show all the intermediate certificates and marksheet to complete the admission process. Fee structure is provided beforehand.

Faculty

The faculty members are cooperative and helpful. They are well qualified in their respective fields. Counsellings and doubt sessions are held by them from time to time. They also help the students to organize college functions.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
