Remarks

Overall, IIT is hands down the best college in India and the only one to break into the top 200 of the world! The student quality is excellent, the faculty is amazing. If it lacks something, it is research.

Entrance Preview

IITJEE. I got 207/360 in my entrance exam. The exam is not tough to crack provided you study diligently throughout the year. I chose this course because science appeals to me.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is well balanced and detailed. The research work provided is very vast. The faculty is amazing and the course is stretched over a span of 4 years.

Internships Opportunities

We have companies like Infosys and Kotak to provide us with an internship. The experience was brilliant and the learning part of it cannot be explained in words. It was by far the best one can get in India.

Placement Experience

They are various multinational companies that come to campus. The job is given on the criteria of CGPA and the interview. The salary offered is quite reasonable.

College Events

Mood Indigo is considered one of the best festivals in the whole of Asia. It is a technical fest where students exhibit their technical skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit and need. The college is government-subsidized and hence the fees are low anyway.

Campus Life

The campus life is the best in Asia. The gender ratio is poor. Extracurricular activities are given equal importance. Inter IIT competitions are also held.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors are really helpful and IIT is known to have the best alumni network in India.

The hostels are average and the fees are really low. The mess food is good sometimes and completely unacceptable somedays.

Overall review of my college life in VIT Pune

Placement Experience:

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

After 1st year student can openly apply for internship, theon campus internship is avaliable after 4th Sem. The highest amount goes to Quant Finance and more than 75% gets placed for in-campus. The highest pakacemet was INR 3cr for the Quant profile.

From the 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit this college like Infosys, Calfus , Amazon , UBS, Crowdstrike. In case of no campus placements, one can try research internship offered by college.

My experience at VIT pune

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.

placements are pretty decent here, especially for comp/it students. The average package here is around 12 to 14lakh, college provide on campus placements too, our placement cell is pretty hardworking. almost 97 to 99% of students get placed here.

so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More
