Course Curriculum Overview

4

Four and half of teaching years and 1 year of compulsory internship. Apart from that 1 year of rural service is mandatory.Bond to break rural service is now 10 lakhs for mbbs. Standard of equipments is good in most of the departments. Faculty are best in medicine and clinical side.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is no placement as it's a medical college, and according to DCI, as doctors you donot have a placement according to the medical board. However the college provides good internships with a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month for one year. We can also work as assistants and prepare for PG side by side. The internship experience is great and we get hands on experience on every aspect and are provided with the required tools and technology too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee currently stands for open category student is about 50000 per six months while for category students like obc, st, sc etc it gets about 15000 per 6 months. Fee structure looks very feasible and affordable.

Campus Life

4

Labs are pretty well equipped. In Sports we have a volleyball ground, a badminton court, tt tables etc. All these are in a good condition but not at their best. The maintainance has been an issue but it has all the minimum condition to enjoy a gud 2 to 3 hrs of play.

Hostel Facilities

4

Both boys and girls hostel are there each having one block at present and accommodate more than 100 girls and boys. Each of the rooms is furnished with amenities like a bed with storage, a mattress, a cupboard allocated to each occupant, and a study desk. Both the boys and girls hostel have their own Gymnasium, indoor sports, common Room provides T.V. with The tastefully designed dining hall, equipped with modern and mechanized kitchen.

Admission

My admission in to the college was through my NEET score. NEET is led in the long stretch of may and the outcomes are out by mid june. I scored 492 in NEET and applied for counseling process. At that point I got this college in my counseling and proceeded for the admission procedure.

4

Faculty is fantastic. All faculty is of well experienced and qualified doctors. They are always ready to help you and always ready to solve your difficulties. There are all cooperative staff. All the teachers are very helpful.

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
