Remarks

Overall it can be said that if a student want to sincerely study and make a carrier for himself/herself with less than average time to engage in extracurricular activities then this is perfect place.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum here is very hectic. Their is a sessional examination every month upto 3 months after completing a teaching phase each month. This helps student to complete their work within a deadline. Here students are treated as professional engineers as soon as they enter the premises. The are expected to be professional during their journey in institution. If students are interested and serious about research, then they are also provided with an opportunity to prove their dedication to work. As the environment here is professional, their is not any possibility of any injustice or unfairness.

Placement Experience

4.5

A larger variety of multinational companies visit DDU to hire students in their final semester. Heavy names like, Reliance Industries, Larsen and Toubro, UOP Honeywell, Esaar and many more. DDU have developed very strong bond with these companies as they have provided a very good quality of Engineers. Till last year, their has been a 100% placement of students and currently the process is going on and this time too the placement has been considerable till date. This institution has a special demand with students to perform Industrial or Research internship during their final semester. During this time students have to dedicate their time to internships and apply their knowledge gain during the previous years. Students are provided with internship programs at well-known companies and even to governmental bodies like Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Indian Spaces Research Organization and Physical Research Laboratory.

College Events

2

As this University focuses more on discipline, this institution offers minimal amount of events. To be precise, every year during March University organises event week for students. During this time acedamics are completely shut down and students are allowed to enjoy, but are expected to be serious about their study before and after this week. A variety of events takes place during this week, each organised and coordinated by students under guidence of a faculty. Events like, dancing, singing, drama, outdoor games, indoor games, technical events and many more are held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Basically there are different slots for students. Those who get seats in government quota, they have very minimal amount of fees about 8K per annum, but students in self finance quota have to pay about 1500K per annum. Also their is alumni association where students who are not capable of paying such large chunk of fees are helps but former students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I did not opt for any scholarship program, but I have a friend who did. For scholarships where most offered by government. Students must have a good score in their 10th and 12th grades and also should maintain that during their academics.

Campus Life

4

The campus environment is very healthy and filled with green cover. There are multiple grass lawns and high trees surrounding the compus. There are no restriction to students based on gender. There are very few number of extracurricular activities but a large emphasis is made of laboratory work. For that, Laboratories are kept up-to-date and students are provided with enough facilities to conduct experimentation. Students are also encouraged to take part in technical events held in state and helped to participate.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is facility for girls to stay in a hostel. Apart from that a large number of PGs and private hostels are available near the college. On average one can find a decent PG to stay in 1.5 to 2K per month. Talking about Private hostels, they charge about 26 to 34K per year.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni association is working actively to help students who are unable to pay their fees due to their financial condition. Also they perform research to contribute to the institution.

Admission

After completing my 12th grade, I was inclined towards chemical engineering for my bachlors program. So my cousin suggested about DDU. Later I researched about it and found that this institution is among the oldest in gujarat, especially in chemical engineering and has produced excellent Engineers. So to enter into this college, ACPC generates merit list and based on that students get admitted.

Faculty

5

Faculties in this institution are very supportive to students. They are always helpful to students in their work and framing them into becoming ideal Engineers. Moving on to their qualification, every faculty is an engineer themself. Each of them is atleast a Bachelor engineers with a good GATE score or a Master in Engineering. Before becoming faculty, each one is screen thourough a series of interviews and alloted subject in which they could give their best performance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum here is normal like not that exclusive and I don't think that the curriculum will help you in the real world you have to do something else no the other hand like some special certifications or some other courses and certificate to get a good job and to be fully prepared for the real world the teachers are here are not that great when it comes to the academics you have to read by yourself and if you are a great student I am pretty sure that you can understand what they are saying but maximum students use YouTube as a medium of studying before exam and yes 75% attendance is mandatory here
